There were a group of us who were going through a list of qualifications we wanted to see in a candidate for our state representative for the 1st Franklin District. Looking at the list created, it is clear to me that Lora Wondolowski surpasses the other candidates in almost every category. For over two decades, more than any other candidate, she has worked either lobbying the state Legislature, or as a councilor and chair of the Greenfield City Council.
I have personally worked with her as chair of the council on health care issues and schools, and seen others work with her on housing, farms and the environment. In each case she has pulled together disparate members of the council, defining a creative solution that brought together a sometimes contentious group. Solid decisions were made that moved the city ahead for the financial and social benefit of its citizens.
Look at the list above, and if it matches your desires, it would be a smart decision to vote for Lora on Sept. 1 in the Democratic primary. Put it on your calendar.
