Coryat right choice for state rep.

Last January, I felt a sense of loss when state Rep. Natalie Blais announced her departure for an exciting role at UMass. Recognizing her impact underscores the need for a dedicated leader, and it makes voters feel the importance of supporting someone who can continue her legacy.

On a brighter note, I was truly inspired by Corinne Coryat’s announcement to run for this seat. Having worked as Natalie’s right-hand aide and district director for five years —especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic — Corinne has proven her resilience and adaptability in navigating the complexities of legislative matters. Her experiences have equipped her with invaluable insights, and she has emerged from that time stronger and more knowledgeable.

Throughout her campaign, Corinne has shown a remarkable understanding of the issues facing the 1st Franklin District. She possesses a deep awareness of the communities she aims to serve, and, most importantly, she connects with the people in a meaningful way. Corinne is intelligent, energetic, and wholeheartedly committed to public service. Her extensive experience alongside Natalie has prepared her to tackle the legislative process effectively from day one.

That’s why I, as a former legislator, am thrilled to stand with a fantastic group of supporters, including our progressive Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan, Lori Streeter, Franklin County’s first woman sheriff, and the esteemed Ben Clark of Deerfield, a prominent farmer and Recorder “Citizen of the Year.” Their backing shows a united community effort, inspiring voters to feel confident in Corinne’s broad support.

Mark your calendars for Sept. 1 and make your voice heard by voting for Corinne Coryat, the candidate who truly represents us!
