Enfield, CT – Doris (Budarz) Reddington of Enfield, CT (formerly of West Hartford) passed away surrounded by her children on Sunday July 26. She was born on July 24, 1936 in Chicopee, MA, the daughter of the late Stanley and Tessa (Wysk) Budarz. She grew up in Greenfield, MA where she graduated from Greenfield High School. A graduate of Bay Path College, she went on to work at UConn (where she met her husband), Aetna and Hamilton Heights.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Richard Reddington and her brother Frederick Budarz. She is survived by her 3 devoted children; James Reddington, Elizabeth (Betsy) Vergnano (and her husband Mark), and Mary Pion (and her husband Christopher). She leaves beautiful memories, sage advice and lots of laughs with her adoring granddaughters; Elise Ahmed (and her husband Saleem), Haley Mayer (and her husband Ben), and Nora Zukowski (and her fiancé Andrew). One of her most recent joys was becoming a great-grandmother to 5 beautiful great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Carol Caderette (and her husband James); her sister-in-law Lucille Budarz and many nieces, nephews, close family members and friends. In the past year of her life Doris was blessed by 3 wonderful caregivers; Karen, Justyna and Samantha.
Family and friends will be received at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT from 5:00– 7:00 pm on Wednesday August 5. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT at 10:00 am on Thursday August 6.
