2:30 p.m. — Reporting party on Leyden Road states she made a social media post about losing her dog and people are falsely claiming they found it to scam her. Advised scammers will try to scare people into responding and to block them/stop responding.

4:13 p.m. — Reporting party from Colrain Road called 911 because his television isn’t working. Fixed party’s TV. No other issues. Services rendered.

9:47 p.m. — Report of a suspicious call asking about a Main Street business’ fire extinguishers and asking for money to be paid to the fire marshal. Reporting party would like to speak to an officer. Advised of scam and options.

Tuesday, June 23

8:26 a.m. — Caller reports there is a big black bear on her front lawn on Hope Street. Bear appears to have returned to the woods. Could not locate.

10:46 a.m. — Report of a black bear eating from a bird feeder on Park Avenue. Bear has moved into the woods on Mountain Road.

1:26 p.m. — Report of a red walker with a seat off the side of the Interstate 91 rotary. Caller stated it is near the northbound ramp. Drove around the rotary to check to see if there was someone walking around looking for it, did not locate anyone. Abandoned walker left by the crosswalk. Nothing of value left with it.

6:56 p.m. — Officer assisting another agency on Armory Street. Caitlyn Marie Shepherd, 36, of High Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Wednesday, June 24

8:16 a.m. — Tito Rivera, 46, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Conway Street.

9:44 a.m. — Charles David, 49, of Grinnell Street in Greenfield, was arrested on High Street on a warrant.

3:12 p.m. — Report of a white unmarked van that has been sitting in the Newton School parking lot on Shelburne Road for about 20 minutes. Driver stated he was eating lunch and would leave. Moved along.

7:41 p.m. — Madelyn Claire Gervais, 30, of Davis Street in Greenfield, was arrested at Davis and Pleasant streets on charges of possession of a Class B drug, and trafficking in 18 grams or more/less than 36 grams of heroin/morphine/opium.

8:00 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at the Greenfield Public Library on Main Street. Ronald W. Winship, 47, of Hinsdale, New Hampshire, was arrested on a warrant.

Thursday, June 25

12:30 p.m. — Report of a female party who took a Ryobi battery-operated lawn mower from a property on Wells Street. Anonymous caller reporting she saw someone pushing a lawn mower near Hillside Park.

12:37 p.m. — Caller from Leyden Road wants to know what she can do about a drone hovering over her home. Happened at around 6:00 p.m. the day before. Drone stuck around for about five minutes and then went toward Leyden Woods. Spoke with the reporting party, who was advised to contact police when it is happening and an officer can attempt to locate the drone operator.

12:40 p.m. — Mark Anthony Holsombach, 49, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested at Pierce and Davis streets on a warrant.

4:35 p.m. — Caller reports a crash at Deerfield and Meridian streets. Driver was turning right onto Meridian Street when his dog jumped on his lap and he accidentally pressed on the accelerator, hitting the bridge. Driver refused medical care. Vehicle was towed.

8:34 p.m. — Reporting party states there was a two-car crash in front of her address on High Street. Both parties ended up driving off, but verbal threats were made. Looking to report it as she has a video. Services rendered.

Friday, June 26

7:54 a.m. — Report of vandalism at Russell and Congress streets. Caller is not the owner of either property. Caller stated a garage has “shoot” spray-painted on it and on a mailbox. Caller did not see anyone do this. An old garage door and a Post Office mailbox were tagged with blue spray paint.

2:02 p.m. — Luis Angel Ruiz, 52, of Greenfield, was arrested on Deerfield Street on a charge of possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense), as well as on a warrant.

4:24 p.m. — Emily K. Shaw, 38, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested at Pierce and Chapman streets on six warrants.

Saturday, June 27

10:00 p.m. — Reporting party states there are a lot of people making noise on Verde Drive. Possibly a party. Owner of the house stated it was a graduation party. Parents are present. Owner said the party would be ending soon.

11:10 p.m. — Window smashed in a car at Lundgren Honda on Federal Street. Joseph Loyal Coleman, 24, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of vandalizing property and attempting to commit a crime.

Sunday, June 28

5:01 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Grinnell Street. Reporting party reports hearing a light knock on his door at around 4:30 a.m. Also states someone was knocking on their tenant’s door as well. Believes he heard footsteps walking around outside. Checked the area and spoke with the reporting party. No signs of a disturbance. Amazon packages were on the doorsteps of neighboring homes.

11:38 a.m. — Reporting party states a manhole cover is missing off the road on Wells Street. Manhole cover was in the parking lot. Officer put the cover back on.

Monday, June 29

9:40 a.m. — Caller reporting a large amount of broken glass in the roadway at Colrain Road and Shelburne Road. Department of Public Works advised.

10:00 a.m. — Heaven Marie Perry, 40, of Graves Road in Greenfield, was arrested on Main Street on a warrant.

1:41 p.m. — Report of a female party yelling and walking down the middle of Chapman Street hitting vehicles. Found walking on the sidewalk in the area of the skate park. Agitated that an officer was speaking with her. Stated she did not need any assistance and continued walking north on the sidewalk on Chapman Street.

10:55 p.m. — Officer assisting another agency at Baystate Franklin Medical Center on High Street. Party is throwing and smashing things, and yelling. Security requesting help. Aaron K. Caldwell, 35, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of vandalizing property, disorderly conduct (subsequent offense) and trespassing.

Tuesday, June 30

10:24 a.m. — Report of a stolen vehicle on Hastings Street. Brown 2019 Kia Sorrento, taken this morning. Keys were in the vehicle. Services rendered.

5:34 p.m. — Male party walked up to a cruiser wanting to know why police were called to Court Square the day before. He was advised it was for a report of a fight. Party is concerned that people are calling 911 too easily. Services rendered.

5:53 p.m. — Robert David Brooks, 40, of Hope Street, in Greenfield was arrested on a warrant on Conway Street.

6:20 p.m. — Report of a past assault and battery on Cleveland Street. Vincent D. Demaria, 48, of Cleveland Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a family/household member, possession of ammunition without an FID card, a firearm violation with one prior violent/drug crime and possession of a firearm without an FID card.

Wednesday, July 1

8:36 a.m. — Caller from Orchard Street wants to speak to an officer about IRS investigators showing up to his house with badges in a small black SUV. Reported IRS would not disclose any information for the visit other than to speak with his wife. Left without issue.

3:21 p.m. — Report of a vehicle operating erratically on Bernardston Road. The Shelburne Control Dispatch Center received multiple calls regarding a vehicle operating erratically. Marked lanes violations, braking suddenly, almost hitting oncoming traffic. Vehicle was found parked on Wildwood Avenue. Driver stated they had a problem with a contact lense, had since removed it when they reached their destination.

5:47 p.m. — Traffic stop on MacLellan Lane. Julie Ann Engstrom, 43, of Oak Hill Acres in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, attaching plates to a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, taking a number plate and uninsured motor vehicle.

Thursday, July 2

8:54 a.m. — Traffic stop near Franklin County’s YMCA on Main Street. Vehicle drove into and around the YMCA lot. Driver was advised she had to yield/stop for blue lights and sirens. Driver upset. Advised of options and issued a citation.

9:35 a.m. — Traffic stop on River Street. Michael K. Bryant, 54, of Chicopee, was arrested on charges of uninsured motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle, as well as on a warrant.

1:00 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reporting his e-bike was stolen. Thomas Owen Morrill Jr., 61, of Congress Street in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.

7:06 p.m. — Reporting party from West Street states there is a man sitting in front of her house. She gave him water but would like him checked on, may be inhaling something. Ian M. Barrett, 43, of Elm Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of smelling or inhaling fumes releasing toxic vapors.

8:15 p.m. — Traffic stop at Pleasant and Davis streets. William S. Jamieson, 56, of Main Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of an expired inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

9:03 p.m. — Reporting party states a large, possibly fuzzy object is partially blocking the roadway at Log Plain Road and Barton Road. Unsure of what the object was or its exact location. A small futon was removed from the road.

Friday, July 3

1:50 a.m. — Report of a man jumping in front of traffic on Federal Street. David Timberlake-Salter, 41, of Pond Street in Greenfield, was placed in protective custody.

10:28 a.m. — Report of an unwanted person at TD Bank on Main Street. Female party is causing a scene. Gone on arrival.

1:30 p.m. — Report of a white pigeon with a tag on it at Clayton D. Davenport Trucking on Colrain Street, possibly lost/injured. Animal control officer advised.

3:50 p.m. — Report of a city ordinance violation on the Greenfield Common. Kevin C. Cameron, 61, of Brattleboro, Vermont, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

5:08 p.m. — Reporting party states a camper has been parked at the park and ride on Miner Street for approximately three weeks. Concerned for the welfare of any individuals that may be inside. Camper present with fake plates. Checked the camper and immediate area, unable to locate the owner.

7:30 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Stop & Shop on the French King Highway. Heather Lee Symanski, 36, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of possession of a Class A drug (subsequent offense) and possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

Saturday, July 4

7:22 a.m. — Caller reports one person hit another person in the face on Chapman Street. Guerdema Tabitha Gabriel, 35, of Arch Place in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled and vandalizing property.

3:03 p.m. — Caller reports a female party has been standing at the intersection of Norwood and Davis streets for hours. Reporting party is concerned for her welfare. Female needed a place to rest. She was advised to gather any trash before leaving.

3:22 p.m. — Report of a city ordinance violation at Energy Park on Miles Street. George Wisdom Yarns Jr., 56, of Congress Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

5:44 p.m. — Reporting party from Harris Court states her neighbor is stomping around and making excessive noise in his apartment. Party was advised of the complaint. He was upset over the McDonald’s app.

10:43 p.m. — Caller from Call’s Corner Store on Conway Street reports a female party is screaming and a male party is following her. Located male and female arguing in the roadway. Michael S. Walker, 31, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, July 5

10:09 a.m. — Caller on Conway Street reports she put her dog out this morning on the lead and the dog is not longer there, but the lead does not look broken. Mixed breed husky/American bull dog, brindle in color. Animal control officer was advised. Dog was located and returned.

1:41 p.m. — Caller on Conway Street reporting loud music. Party was advised the music was a little loud for the proximity of his neighbors. Same advised he is under a 60-decibel noise level but agreed to turn it down a little.
