Sign up for ‘Tai Chi Easy’ before Aug. 6
GREENFIELD — Lynne Nicole Smith will lead a two-part “Tai Chi Easy” class at the Greenfield Senior Center on Tuesdays, Aug. 11 and Aug. 24, from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
Tai Chi Easy is not a type of tai chi, but a carefully developed method that makes it fun and easy to learn. The first part of the workshop will include gentle warm-ups with qi gong for light stretching and lubricating the joints, and energizing movements with breathing, tapping and tranquil, calm motions. Then, participants will move on to the tai chi portion.
Attendees will learn exercises they can continue at home to help relieve muscle tension, improve sleep and increase energy.
Sign up at the Senior Center with a $25 payment before Aug. 6. Checks and cash will be accepted.
