Cannabis special permit hearing continued to Aug. 20

GREENFIELD — The Zoning Board of Appeals is set to continue discussions on a special permit application for an indoor marijuana cultivation and retail facility on Laurel Street during its next meeting on Thursday, Aug. 20, at City Hall.

The hearing continuation came at the request of Quinn Heath, an attorney representing Greenerside Holdings LLC, who told the ZBA on Thursday that the company would like more time to finalize its application and work with Planning Director Ella Wise to determine whether a new special permit is necessary or whether an extension of its previous special permit would suffice.

Greenerside Holdings LLC first received an application to construct an indoor cultivation and retail site at 180 Laurel St. in 2023.
