Donald K. Parda

Bernardston, MA – Donald K. Parda, 90, of South St., passed away Thursday June 11, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Greenfield on October 6, 1935, Don was the son of Stanley and Eleanora (Noseck) Parda. Don attended local schools and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1954.

He enlisted in the US Air Force, proudly serving in Greenland. Upon his return he attended the Stockbridge School of Agriculture graduating in 1960 with an Associate’s Degree in General Science. Don was a Production Planner for Kennametal for over 37 years, retiring in 1998. After residing in Gill for many years, he moved to Bernardston in 2011. Donald was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church where he was a lector. He was past president and secretary at St. Kazimierz Society, past president and member of Freedom Credit Union, a member of the Greenfield Lodge of Elks, Disabled American Veteran, and a former member of Thomas Memorial Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed golfing for many years. He also was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his devoted friends who had coffee clutch with him every morning after church.

Donald leaves his nieces and nephews; Paul Parda, Edward Parda and his wife Kay, Donna (Parda) de Jesus, James Parda and his wife Elizabeth, Carol Corron and her husband Alan, Steven Parda and his wife Patricia, Susan Parda Waters and her husband Charlie, Lauren Parda and her husband Eitel Metzroth along with several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Don also leaves the family of his longtime companion, Agnes Golembeski.

Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his siblings; Stanley, Chester, and Edward Parda, Stella Pelis, Gladys Dejnak, and his companion, Aggie Golembeski.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Turners Falls. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield.

A calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
