Families have zero confidence in the Gill-Montague Regional School District, particularly within the special education department and administration.
Our children should not have to live in fear of going to school. We are demanding answers and accountability. These are not rumors or assumptions. Families have documentation and records that raise serious concerns about how situations have been handled.
In any other profession, incidents of this seriousness would require immediate action and consequences. We cannot understand how such situations are allowed to continue without clear, transparent outcomes.
No child should ever be placed in an unsafe or retraumatizing environment within their school. Our children, many of whom are minimally or non-speaking are still highly aware, intelligent, and capable of understanding everything around them. They deserve protection, dignity, and respect.
We will continue to advocate for our students who cannot advocate for themselves. We welcome other families and community members to stand with us in solidarity.
We are calling for real accountability and for those responsible for harm or substantiated concerns to not continue working directly with children without full transparency and action. This is about safety and trust.
Please join us at School Committee meetings on July 14, Aug. 11, and Sept. 8 at Turners Falls High School, for our children.
