3:22 p.m. — Caller from Mormon Hollow Road reports people are riding dirt bikes on his property and they are not supposed to be there. Property has been condemned by the Board of Health. Reporting party wants the people off his property.
9:13 p.m. — Landlord received a call from a tenant on Fourth Street regarding loud arguing in the upstairs apartment. Verbal disturbance. Both parties agreed to separate within the apartment for the night.
Tuesday, April 14
3:23 a.m. — Reporting party on Third Street states someone was knocking on her door but she doesn’t see anyone. Officer stated the screen door was locked and it didn’t appear like someone could knock on the door.
7:24 p.m. — Reporting party states a small dark sedan struck a utility pole at Avenue A and Fifth Street. Lisa Marie Marion, 58, of Marshall Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of property damage, OUI-liquor over .08% (second offense) and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
11:59 p.m. — Caller states he was riding his bike and observed a tree down in the roadway on East Mineral Road. Reporting party advised he was able to get around it with his bicycle, but he believes vehicles may have issues. Officer advises the tree is a decent size, requesting the Department of Public Works. Roadway cleared by DPW.
Wednesday, April 15
3:20 a.m. — Reporting party from South Prospect Street advises someone shined a flashlight toward his window three times. Reporting party states he is unsure who it is or why someone is outside with a flashlight. Reporting party called back and advised it was his neighbor walking their dog. No need for officers to respond.
6:48 p.m. — Reporting party on Hillside Road states he is trying to eat dinner and is being interrupted by two unregistered dirt bikes being reckless and loud. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
Thursday, April 16
8:26 a.m. — Officer was flagged down by the store manager of Food City on Avenue A about a shoplifting incident. Suspects located in the parking lot. Items were returned to the store. Three parties must not return to the store.
7:41 p.m. — Officer conducting a traffic stop involving a dirt bike with no license plate. Nothing matching in Massachusetts for the VIN. Region search indicates the dirt bike was most recently registered in Connecticut. David Lee Devine, 38, of Turnpike Road in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle/trailer, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and driving at a rate of speed exceeding the posted limit.
Friday, April 17
12:11 p.m. — Caller requesting officers due to a store employee at Carroll’s Market on East Main Street not selling him a drink because he was paying in change. Situation mediated.
4:30 p.m. — Reporting party states someone called her claiming to be from the Montague Police Department and told her that her grandson was locked up. The caller was asking for $3,900 to get him out. Reporting party has since spoken with her grandson and confirmed he is home and was not arrested. Reporting party did not send any money.
10:18 p.m. — Report of loud noise coming from a house on Randall Wood Drive that is under construction, sounds like pounding on concrete coming from the basement. Noise has been going on for approximately one hour. Resident was advised of the complaint and said he is finishing for the night.
Saturday, April 18
12:38 p.m. — Reporting party is concerned about a dog that has been outside barking for an hour on Millers Falls Road. Animal control officer contacted. ACO states the owner had company so the dog was outside.
2:23 p.m. — Reporting party states there is hateful writing in the bathroom at the Montague Bookmill, would like to make a report. Reporting party stated there has been ongoing hate graffiti and vandalism dating back to November. Will follow up with the store owner for security/surveillance options.
3:51 p.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls High School on Turnpike Road states she set off the alarm and is trying to shut it off. Caller states she doesn’t need services if the alarm company calls.
Sunday, April 19
9:46 p.m. — Received a 911 call from Fifth Street, could hear a male and female arguing and then the line hung up. Officers advised. Unable to locate any disturbance. Spoke with a neighbor who said all they heard was a man yelling at a dog. Male party called back and advised that everything is OK. He had a disagreement with his girlfriend and he removed himself from the situation.
Monday, April 20
11:43 a.m. — Reporting party from Turnpike Road reports a mangy fox is laying in his yard. The fox has been coming around his property for the past few days. Animal control officer was advised and stated he will call the reporting party back.
12:58 p.m. — Passing motorist on Turnpike Road reports a mangy fox is walking in circles in the area of Turnpike Road and Dell Street, then entered a yard on Turnpike Road. Animal control officer advised.
Tuesday, April 21
7:13 a.m. — Reporting party on L Street states his car has been vandalized again. Requesting an officer. Report taken.
6:27 p.m. — Reporting party states she is at Unity Park on First Street and a child is there with her mother and isn’t wearing a diaper or underwear. Caller would like an officer to check it out. Officer checked the area, all seems fine.
Wednesday, April 22
5:56 a.m. — Caller reports there is trash/debris in the roadway in the area of Cumberland Farms on Montague City Road. Officer advised. Two units checked the area twice and were unable to locate any debris/garbage in the roadway.
Thursday, April 23
3:48 p.m. — Reporting party on Mormon Hollow Road states part of his property is condemned and there are children playing there. Would like them removed. Officer called the reporting party and advised him that, per the Board of Health, they are allowed to be on the property, just not inside the dwellings. Reporting party states his attorney told him to call every time they are on the property. Issue documented.
5:02 p.m. — Report of an erratic operator on Greenfield Road. Caller is requesting an officer breathalyze the driver of the vehicle as it passed her in a no-passing zone and was swerving in and out of lanes. Officer advising no signs of impairment. Driver stated he was speeding as he had somewhere to be. Citation issued.
10:35 p.m. — Kaylee Jackson, 25, of Springfield, was arrested on a warrant at the First/Second Street alley.
Friday, April 24
1:00 a.m. — Caller reports loud noise (yelling and screaming) is coming from an apartment on Avenue A. Reporting party reports there is a loud female with a friend over, has been loud for more than an hour. Officer advised. Officer spoke with the female party and advised her of the noise complaint. Female party states she is going to bed for the night.
Saturday, April 25
10:27 a.m. — Reporting party reports someone stole 10 to 15 gallons of gas out of his vehicle on Randall Wood Drive overnight. States it was full when he went to bed and now the gas light is on. Does not have cameras. Officer spoke to the reporting party who states other vehicles, mowers and gas cans on the property were untouched. No gas on the ground.
4:08 p.m. — Officer was flagged down regarding a report of suspicious activity in the Food City parking lot on Avenue A. Passerby states she was going to shop at Food City but when she went to get out of her vehicle, she observed a male party in a black hoodie with one hand in his pocket, leaning in an odd manner. This caused her to not want to exit her vehicle and instead shop somewhere else. Male party was located on Fourth Street and reports having severe back pain. No criminal activity found.
6:06 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on South Prospect Street. Teah Golembeski, 34, of South Prospect Street, was arrested on a warrant.
Sunday, April 26
2:41 p.m. — Reporting party on K Street states that a female party and her husband just showed up on bicycles and started harassing him while he was sitting outside. Reporting party just wants it on record so he can request a copy of the incident for court purposes.
10:31 p.m. — Reporting party on Fourth Street is calling about a backyard fire with really high flames. Officer checked the area. Fire is under control.
