GREENFIELD — Legislative office hours continue monthly at the Greenfield Senior Center, with the next session scheduled for Monday, June 8, from noon to 2 p.m.

Democratic Town Committee to meet Thursday
GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Democratic Town Committee will meet on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. at the Elm Terrace Community Room.
Discussions will include a recap of the recent Democratic State Convention and planning for the Sept. 1 state primary election.

June 11: Pop-up shop with Daisy’s Designs
GREENFIELD — Baystate Franklin Medical Center will host a pop-up shop with Daisy’s Designs, featuring handmade pet bandanas and more, on Thursday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby.
The pop-up shop is sponsored by the gift shop to benefit patient services at Baystate Franklin. Cash or credit cards will be accepted. Alternatively, hospital employees can opt for payroll deductions.

Ceremony planned to honor Revolutionary War patriot
GREENFIELD — The local Contentment Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a grave rededication ceremony for the final resting place of Lt. Benjamin Hastings, a Revolutionary War patriot from Greenfield, on Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at the High Street Cemetery as part of the celebrations for America 250.
Following the ceremony, the public is invited to enjoy refreshments at the Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew, 8 Church St.
Learn to make rag wreaths
GREENFIELD — Margot Peck will lead a class on making rag wreaths at the Greenfield Senior Center on Wednesday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to noon.
A rag wreath is a decorative wreath made by tying strips of fabric onto a wreath frame. No craft experience is required. All materials will be provided, free of charge.

Movie matinees held on Mondays and Wednesdays
GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Senior Center will offer free movie matinees on Mondays and Wednesdays this month at 1 p.m. The films are “The Peanut Butter Falcon” (2019) and “Green Book” (2018).
“The Peanut Butter Falcon,” about a young man with Down syndrome who runs away to fulfill his dream and befriends an outlaw who becomes his ally, will be screened on Monday, June 8, and Wednesday, June 10.
“Green Book,” inspired by a true friendship that transcended race and class, will be screened on Mondays, June 15 and 22, and Wednesdays, June 17 and 24.

June 26: Learn how to avoid scams, identity theft
GREENFIELD — A representative from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office will talk about how to avoid common scams and identity theft during a program at the Greenfield Senior Center on Friday, June 26, at 1 p.m.
