4:20 p.m. — Caller reports a male party is walking by the railroad tracks. Also states tents are being set up on both sides of the tracks behind Patriot Care on Legion Avenue. Two parties were advised they need to be packed up and moved along within 24 hours.

7:45 p.m. — Reporting party states a male party dressed in all black is in the backyard of a house on Wisdom Way. House is vacant. Tenants moved out yesterday, so no one is supposed to be there. Involved party knew the former residents of the house and he was saying goodbye to the house. He was advised to refrain from coming back on the property.

8:35 p.m. — A traffic stop at Deerfield and Washington streets resulted in the arrest of Denise J. Dipaolo, 70, of Prospect Street in Turners Falls, on charges of OUI-liquor over .08%, negligent operation of motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

Tuesday, April 14

1:13 a.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant at Oak Courts. Amurie Christopher Ramos, 18, of Oak Courts in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.

9:20 a.m. — Parking problem reported at the Greenfield Public Library on Main Street. Uber driver parked in the parking area for electric vehicles and is refusing to move. Parking enforcement was advised, however, while on the phone, dispatchers watched the vehicle move to another spot.

12:23 p.m. — City ordinance violation reported on Main Street. Chester Thadeus Sinclair, 78, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

Wednesday, April 15

12:29 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street states he got into a physical altercation with his neighbor and that he pushed him down. Both were yelling and pushed each other. Advised to work it out themselves once they calm down.

2:30 p.m. — Report of a male party laying on the ground by Federal Street Cemetery. Male party and female party sitting on the wall. No issues observed.

Thursday, April 16

8:44 a.m. — Threat reported at Greenfield City Hall on Court Square. Reporting party states a male party called today disgruntled about an excise tax bill he says he should not have to pay. Reporting party states the male party then said “the RMV should be blown up.”

8:44 a.m. — Reporting party on Colrain Road called 911 stating that his phone is not working. He then indicated he would call back when it happens again. Reporting party called 911 again to say his remote batteries are low, according to his television. He is looking for assistance. No answer at the door, ongoing issue.

8:05 p.m. — City ordinance violation reported on Main Street. Jamie Simanski, 49, of Davis Street in Greenfield, and William Brannigan, 67, of Arch Place in Greenfield, were both arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

9:28 p.m. — A traffic stop on the Mohawk Trail resulted in the arrest of Howard A. Cornwell II, 46, of Federal Street in Greenfield, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended license and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations.

Friday, April 17

8:19 a.m. — Reporting party on Davis Street states that two dogs in the neighborhood keep coming after her while she is walking. Animal control officer advised.

2:36 p.m. — Threat reported on Green River Road. Party looking to speak with an officer about a note a neighbor left in her mailbox. Services rendered.

4:07 p.m. — Staff at the Greenfield Public Library on Main Street advise a male party is reporting someone stole his bicycle. Party advising his e-bike was taken from the front of the library at approximately 12:12 p.m. The cost of the bike is roughly $2,400. Javier Vargas, 43, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of larceny over $1,200 by single scheme and receiving stolen property over $1,200.

6:42 p.m. — Caller advising two male parties are climbing up the fire escape of the Verizon building on Church Street. Got three-quarters of the way up before leaving the scene. Both parties left on BMX bikes heading down Church Street toward Franklin Street.

8:33 p.m. — Crash reported on Arch Street. Operator of a U-Haul truck failed to yield to the height and road signs, and struck the bridge going 25 to 35 mph. Significant damage to the top of the truck. Citation issued to the operator. Report taken.

9:46 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Harrison Avenue. Alex Zabnicki, 32, of Harrison Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Saturday, April 18

4:29 p.m. — Caller on Park Street reports finding ammunition while cleaning out the garage and wants to turn it in. Ammunition entered into property for destruction. Services rendered.

4:33 p.m. — Officer checking on a van parked in the back on Kimball Drive. Male party advised his wife was picking fiddleheads. No issues.

9:33 p.m. — Reporting party advises she left property in the van at the Greenfield Skate Park on Chapman Street that is unlocked and multiple individuals use it. Her phone and portable charger went missing. Caller was advised to not leave her property in an easily accessible area. Will check camera footage.

Sunday, April 19

2:52 p.m. — Reporting party on Cleveland Street states items — a cellphone, TV remotes, a Bluetooth speaker and sneakers — were stolen but he does not want not press charges, just wants police to contact the person who took them and ask her to return his things. Called party three times, no answer. Party called back and stated the reporting party is lying, she did not take anything from him. Services rendered.

4:19 p.m. — Report of an unattended lacrosse goal at Hillside Park on Grove Street. Reporting party suspects it’s stolen. No indication of goalpost belonging to any nearby schools. Orange goalpost with white net, no school name on it.

10:09 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at the Irving gas station on the Mohawk Trail. Female party refusing to leave, had a verbal altercation with staff. Female party in a red Mitsubishi called irate, stating she “did nothing wrong.” Party moved along.

Monday, April 20

4:20 a.m. — Unwanted person reported at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Male party in a wheelchair is throwing things around. Male was observed breaking property inside the store, was advised to leave and did not. Thomas Chesanek, 59, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of vandalizing property and trespassing.

1:35 p.m. — Caller reports landscapers at Golden Nozzle Car Wash on Newton Street blew a lot of stuff in the roadway. Spoke with landscapers, gravel was cleaned off roadway.

8:17 p.m. — Reporting party states male parties are on the Greenfield Common singing loudly and possibly smoking marijuana. Parties were advised that the singing was fine, but the smoking marijuana in public was not. No further issues.

Tuesday, April 21

10:43 a.m. — Reporting party on Conway Street states he has the Fire Department coming over for a fire inspection and one tenant will not let him in the apartment. Reporting party requesting officers. Smoke detector was replaced. Services rendered.

11:47 a.m. — Caller reports a person has been laying down at Lunt Field on Norwood Street for a few hours. Party was laying down in the field relaxing.

4:03 p.m. — Report of a male party in the maintenance area by the loading dock of the Cherry Rum Plaza building on Bernardston Road. Party left the area when the reporting party approached him. Male party has reportedly been entering the building after-hours. Spoke with staff, who advised that the male party has been seen inside the hallway that leads to a shipping door. Staff believe the male party enters during the day, unlocks a door and then enters through the same door at night. Staff are requesting checks.

8:32 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Conway Street. Javier Vargas, 43, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Wednesday, April 22

7:52 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Wildwood Avenue. Two parties in the parking lot, one on a scooter, one in a black sedan, for the last 30 minutes or so. Nothing suspicious. Former coworkers are talking.

12:48 p.m. — Caller reporting a male party and a female party in a van are going through residents’ trash on Maple and North streets. Parties ran out of gas, are collecting cans from recycling to redeem for money. Made arrangements for a friend to assist with gas.

4:18 p.m. — Officers attempting to serve a warrant on Conway Street. Destiny Lee-Ann Knapp, 24, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Thursday, April 23

8:41 a.m. — Kirk D. Ovitt, 68, of Zoar Road in Charlemont, was arrested on High Street on a warrant.

12:17 p.m. — Caller reports that on the back side of Green River Cemetery, along the river that faces Mead Street and the industrial building, an encampment has been put up. Campfires seen at night. Reporting party would like them moved along. Vacant tent located on the riverbank. Caller was advised to contact police if the individual returns.

12:27 p.m. — Michael A. Smith, 56, of Davis Street in Greenfield, was arrested on High Street on a warrant.

9:51 p.m. — Traffic stop at Cleveland and Federal streets. Kevin D. Blanchard, 46, of Grove Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of OUI-drugs (second offense) and no inspection sticker. Also arrested was Amber Louise Pease, 38, of Grove Street in Greenfield, on a charge of possession of a Class B drug.

Friday, April 24

7:58 a.m. — Reporting party states she was walking in the area of Main Street about 10 minutes ago with her sister and they encountered a male party who threatened to have his dog attack them. Report taken.

11:47 a.m. — Report of a trespassing individual at Green River Cemetery. Male party was fishing and picking up trash, not a resident of the tent. Services rendered.

10:13 p.m. — A traffic stop at Mohawk Trail and Newton Street resulted in the arrest of Jane Frances Malone, 49, of Amherst Road in South Hadley, on charges of OUI-liquor over .08%, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving at rate of speed greater than what was reasonable and proper, a marked lanes violation and intoxicated licensee carrying a firearm.

Saturday, April 25

9:44 a.m. — Caller from Cedar Glen Circle reports a male party has been harassing them and threw clothes on their porch this morning. They have it recorded on their Ring camera. Camera footage depicts a male party throwing clothing on the reporting party’s front porch. Negative contact made with the male party at his residence.

12:57 p.m. – Breaking and entering into a vehicle reported on Riddell Street. Officer to investigate. Party reports someone took tools from his vehicle and possibly more, he is unsure. Report issued.

3:54 p.m. — Traffic stop on Legion Avenue. Alysha M. Warren, 37, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.

3:59 p.m. — Reporting party from Cedar Glen Circle reports a male party dumped a bag with old scrubs from a previous hospital stay on his porch. Bag was picked up and returned to the male party’s residence. Male party either was not home or refused to answer the door. Items were left on a chair outside.

Sunday, April 26

1:24 p.m. — Caller at Oak Hill Acres reports two rings have been stolen. Fake diamond ring and a silver ring with a tree on it. Reporting party was not sure when they were stolen, along with previously reported money, clothes and other items.

6:30 p.m. — Report of a female party trying to gain entry to a property on Wells Street, attempting to open windows. Female party is currently on the porch. Officer provided her with a ride home.

9:34 p.m. — Reporting party on Hastings Street states there is very loud music in the area and it is shaking her windows. Unknown where the music is coming from. Unfounded.
