Thank you for the very timely reporting by Recorder reporter Erin-Leigh Hoffman on the western Massachusetts delegation to the Burlington ICE facility [“‘A place to stand together,'” May 28]. I’m so very heartened to see the dedication of folks from our area against the tyranny of ongoing injustices carried out by secret, masked, unconstitutional ICE agents under the direction of the current administration.
We need many more people to stand up. By documenting how those who take the lead are doing this work, I hope such coverage is also inspiring others to get involved, speak out, and continue tirelessly and regularly to oppose this state of affairs. This work is not easy, it
represents another demand on our already hyper-scheduled lives, however it is little compared to the plight of those who are being targeted, their friends and families, and their communities impacted by their losses.
