It’s not clean power.

Hull Street Energy’s recent assertion, printed here, that the Northfield Mountain Pumped Hydro Storage Station provides “clean power” generation doesn’t pass the smell test.

The Northfield Mountain underground powerhouse operates large reversible turbines, powered by dirty grid energy.

Fifty-plus years of grinding up virtually all aquatic life that goes through the massive turbines, with dominating power that actually runs the river backwards, both ways, excludes the possibility of any true claims of “clean power.“

It’s not clean or green, it’s greenwashing ecocide.
