GREENFIELD — At behavioral health agency Clinical & Support Options’ 24th annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair last week, representatives of 42 service providers and nonprofits gathered at Energy Park to shine a spotlight on the health and human services resources that are available locally.

The annual fair is organized by CSO’s Clubhouse-model programs, Green River House in Greenfield and Quabbin House in Orange, with a goal of helping individuals remain resilient to mental health challenges and to steer them to Department of Mental Health programs and peer-model counseling where clients can support each other.

The various providers help community members with recovery from substance use, mental health and harm reduction, as well as operate police co-response programs in which behavioral health clinicians accompany officers on calls, according to Geoffrey Oldmixon, CSO’s vice president of marketing and development.

Attendees were able to peruse a collection of booths while dining on hamburgers, hot dogs and French fries from a food truck, and listening to several local musicians on the Energy Park stage. Other booths sold crafts and marigolds were given out.
