Breathes there a man or women who never to themselves hath said, what is the most important holiday of the year?
Without a doubt it is Memorial Day, a day set aside to honor those that have given their lives in defense of our nation. This day recognizes the sacrifice made by those brave souls that we should respect and pay tribute to by coming out to your city and towns parades.
I have seen the thinning through the years, not only of those lining the streets of the parade but also of the veterans there in the ranks.
Greenfield, make this Memorial Day one that we all have to remember to respect those heroes by being there on this day! Also, to our vets, please march or ride to participate. We need you to show you care because of all people you know, you’ve been there. Thank you to our band and to those that take part.
