Osterville, MA – Born in Gaithersburg Maryland, Carolyn grew up with seven sisters and one brother. She later joined the USO in Washington DC where she was a singer and dancer during the Korean War. While in the USO, she met her future husband (Alan H. Booth) stationed at nearby Andrews Air Force Base. She used to recall "I hated him initially". But they were married and spent the rest of their lives together, with their final years in Charlemont where Carolyn played the piano and enjoyed town activities.
Alan and Carolyn leave behind two sons, James of Osterville, MA and Jeffreye of Abington, MA. They leave behind four grandchildren, Jessica of Woburn, MA, Jody of North Andover, MA, Joelle of Worcester, MA and Joshua of Abington, MA. Their great-grandchildren include Madi and Cora of Woburn, MA, and Joseph and Sabrina of North Andover, MA, and Declan of Worchester.
