As residents of Shutesbury who have been actively involved in our town’s government, we are supporting Jim Walton for Select Board. The Select Board is charged with addressing administrative, personnel, legal, and policy matters. The Select Board grants licenses and permits, appoints volunteers and people hired in town. In its role of leadership, this board interfaces with all town departments, boards, committees, state officials, and Shutesbury citizens.
One candidate has the requisite experience and knowledge gained through his career and through his 10 years of volunteer service on the town’s Finance Committee. Join us in voting for Jim Walton for Select Board on May 9.
