Tyler Memorial Library offering seed library
CHARLEMONT — Tyler Memorial Library is now offering a seed library as part of a joint project involving the Hawlemont, Agriculture and You (HAY) program and the Friends of the Tyler Memorial Library.
An old card catalogue at the back of the library was transformed into the seed library. It’s self-serve, and each of the four drawers is for a specific type of seed: vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs. Those who take seeds are asked to “sign out” the packets on a clipboard so the inventory can be tracked. Partially used packets can be returned to the library.
