10:51 a.m. — Reporting party reports someone is yanking on his dog’s leash on Main Street. Caller is concerned about animal abuse. Officer spoke with the involved party, dog appeared to be fine. Services rendered.

12:53 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Water Street. Male party seen pushing and yelling at a female. Last seen on foot heading toward Meridian Street. Reporting party believes the female was put in a light gray sedan against her will by two men. Not as called in. Disturbance was between two male parties who are known to each other. Female was advised to leave the area for her safety, but seemed unwilling to leave as she wanted to protect one of the parties.

5:27 p.m. — Caller reports two solicitors are going door-to-door at Greenfield Country Estates on Adams Road. Parties were with Finray Solar, stated they did not have a permit and were unaware they needed one. Parties were moved along.

6:10 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on School Street. Dennis Smith, 58, of School Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Tuesday, March 31

10:00 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Eunice Williams Drive. Officer to investigate. Medications and various cards taken out of an unsecured vehicle.

1:54 p.m. — Reporting party from Main Street is looking to speak with an officer regarding having more patrols in her area. Party stated that on her way to work today, she found her vehicle was unlocked, which is the second time in two years that this has happened. She is worried that people are breaking into her car. No items were taken and no damage was done. Reporting party was advised that downtown officers would include the area in their regular patrols.

5:23 p.m. — Tiesha M. Sweeney, 34, of Little Mohawk Road in Shelburne Falls, was arrested on Main Street on a warrant.

11:33 p.m. — Reporting party from Elm Street reports her ex is outside her apartment threatening to harm her and her roommate. Male party kept circling her residence in his vehicle. Miguel Angel Figueroa Jr., 22 of Springfield, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, threatening to commit a crime (two counts) and criminal harassment.

Wednesday, April 1

8:02 a.m. — Connor Joseph Haupt, 19, of Springfield, was arrested on Federal Street on charges of carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official and carrying a firearm without a license. There was also a warrant for his arrest.

11:06 a.m. — Reporting party on Plain Road states she was contacted by someone claiming to be from the FBI. She sent them a check as requested.

7:05 p.m. — Caller reporting a refrigerator is on the tree belt at Chapman and Allen streets with the doors on. Owner of the refrigerator was advised it’s necessary to remove the door or doors from any refrigerated container before discarding it, storing it outside or setting it aside. Party stated he did not know and will get that done as soon as possible.

Thursday, April 2

12:00 a.m. — Fight reported at Lilac Court. Involved male party was reportedly upset that the caller would not open her door, so he punched out a window and fled prior to police arrival. Report issued.

12:56 a.m. — Report of a female party laying on the guardrail at Leyden Woods Lane. Female advised she was looking for lost property. Party appeared well.

7:21 p.m. — Alex Zabnicki, 32, of Harrison Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

9:31 p.m. — A traffic stop at Federal and Leonard streets resulted in the arrest of Alexander D. Hatwood, 39, of Juniper Court in Greenfield, on charges of OUI-liquor over .08%, improper turn: left or right, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

11:37 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Dimitri A. Powers, 36, of Franklin Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of vandalizing property.

Friday, April 3

12:29 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at the Mill House Apartments on Wells Street. Reporting party states a male party, who was wearing a green vest and going door-to-door, pushed him and started changing things on his computer and phone. Reporting party states the male party claimed to be from the electric company and could lower her bill to $12. Located the male party who was soliciting with out a permit and being aggressive with residents. Party also assaulted someone in an apartment. Jonathan E. Santana, 46, of Holyoke, was arrested on charges of failure to register when soliciting, assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled, and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor (two counts).

Saturday, April 4

9:33 a.m. — Lindsey Hurld, 42, of Beacon Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on High Street. Also arrested on a warrant was George Thomas Carreau Jr., 42, of High Street in Greenfield.

3:52 p.m. — Navy blue Subaru SUV traveling northbound at Bernardston Road and Silver Street is driving with the trunk open with unsecured cardboard in the back. Officer reporting the vehicle pulled into Denny’s Pantry and shut the trunk.

8:10 p.m. — Reporting party from Holland Avenue reports there is a black bear in her driveway that will not leave and is eating her birdseed. Worried about it being at her residence when her husband arrives home. Bear ran off into the woods after a siren was activated. Reporting party was advised to keep her large container of birdseed indoors.

8:24 p.m. — Numerous calls received about a fight in progress at Juniper Court. Baseball bat seen. Parents fighting over kids bullying one another. Parties were separated and advised of options. Peace restored.

10:48 p.m. — Reporting party from Holland Avenue reports the bear is back in her driveway and her husband should be home shortly. Party stated when she sets off her car alarm, the bear just climbs a tree. Party stated the officer from the previous call two hours ago told her to call dispatch if the bear returns as her husband won’t be able to get out of his vehicle. Reporting party called back to say her husband is home and waiting in his truck as the bear is in the tree. Husband made it in the house and the bear ran off down the street. Caller no longer needs police assistance. She was advised the incident will be passed along to the animal control officer.

Sunday, April 5

3:31 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Report of a female party walking around the parking lot looking at vehicles. Upon police arrival, the female put up her hood and walked into the store. Staff advised no issues. Female did not want to be identified and left the property without issue.

3:44 a.m. — Traffic stop on Federal Street. Ashley Blanchard, 33, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

6:38 a.m. — Lindsey Hurld, 42, of Beacon Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

Monday, April 6

2:33 p.m. — Janette Gimenez, 58, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Chapman Street.

2:56 p.m. — Reporting party requesting information on selling a BB gun. Party was advised it can be sold to someone who is 18 years old or older.

8:54 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Deerfield Street. Jamie Lee Anadon, 41, of Garfield Street in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.

9:13 p.m. — Staff at Ryan & Casey Liquors on Main Street reporting an attempted theft. Party tried to leave with merchandise in their pocket. Left on foot heading east on Main Street. Canvassed area, unable to locate.

10:30 p.m. — Officer assisting another agency on High Street. Felix Luis Ortiz, 38, of Chicopee, was arrested on charges of trafficking in 36 grams or more/less than 100 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law. Also arrested was Pedro J. Collado, 27, of Agawam, on charges of trafficking in 36 grams or more/less than 100 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug law and a number plate violation.

Tuesday, April 7

10:35 a.m. — Shoplifting reported at Aubuchon Hardware on Federal Street. Officer to investigate. Reporting party reports the incident occurred yesterday and he has camera footage. Shoplifter asked for help with copper cutting tools. Stole a Dremel tool and a headlamp. Suspect was stopped and identified. Merchandise was seized and entered into evidence. Report issued.

1:49 p.m. — Caller on Laurel Street states she is not home but her security system alerted her to an open door and no one should be there. Requesting officers. Front/rear doors were unlocked, audible alarm went off once inside the home. House cleared and secured. Officer spoke with the homeowner who stated she had left the door unlocked but alarmed.

Wednesday, April 8

3:04 p.m. — Reporting party on Holly Avenue states he sent money to an eBay car seller located in Rhode Island. After several transactions, the seller discontinued contact, and after looking up the seller’s phone number, the reporting party discovered the number originates from California. Party was advised not to transfer money to anybody he has not contacted in person until he sees the merchandise.

5:09 p.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Prospect Avenue. John Michael Freitag, 55, of Prospect Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

6:44 p.m. — Party from Chapman Street called to report someone stole her refrigerator that was behind her garage. She has no cameras in the area and has no idea who could have done it. Services rendered.

Thursday, April 9

10:39 a.m. — A traffic stop on Colrain Road resulted in the arrest of Hayleigh Veronica Reeder, 33, of Whitingham, Vermont, on a charge of intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official. There were also three warrants for her arrest.

2:08 p.m. — Vandalism reported on Chapman Street. Group of five adults smashing things. A large handicap parking sign with a cement post had been knocked over by a car. The individuals were trying to pick it up, but it was too heavy. Stated they would stop trying to pick it up.

3:08 p.m. — City ordinance violation reported at Energy Park. Francis M. Lafrennie, 52, of Arch Place in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

4:35 p.m. — William Batchelder, 69, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Main Street.

8:33 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Baystate Franklin Medical Center on High Street. Fist fight in the emergency room. Sammy Ramirez, 26, of Springfield, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled.

Friday, April 10

11:58 a.m. — City ordinance violation at the Mohawk Mall on Main Street. Officer observed a male party throwing trash on the ground and advised him to pick it up.

2:24 p.m. — Reporting party on Barton Road called to report an unknown male party was trespassing on her property yesterday and pointed an airsoft gun at her. Left a voicemail advising the reporting party to call if the male is on her property again.

3:41 p.m. — Report of a dog in the car with the windows up at Greenfield High School on Barr Avenue. Tesla screen states “AC is on and vehicle is set at 64 degrees.” No issues.

Saturday, April 11

8:44 p.m. — Reporting party states a vehicle was all over the roadway, crossing the center line and almost had a head-on collision. Pulled into Goodies Restaurant on Federal Street. Spoke with the driver, who did not show any signs of impairment. Advised he was working for DoorDash.

Sunday, April 12

1:39 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports he took nude photos of himself and sent them to who he thought was a woman. Party determined the interaction to be a scam before providing any further personal information, but wanted the Police Department to be aware. Party declined the need for a police report. Services rendered.
