At Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, we appreciate our volunteers. Not only the week of volunteer appreciation, but each and every day.
Did you know that in 2025 our volunteers shared over 1,400 hours of their time providing services to the community? Our volunteers continue to provide companionship, respite, administrative support, assistance with events, and more. Their compassion, kindness, and dedication bring light and comfort to some of life’s most tender moments. The time they give, the gentle words they share, and the quiet strength they offer make an immeasurable
difference to our patients and their families.
In hospice care, every act of service — whether it’s holding a hand, listening to a story, or simply being present — carries profound meaning. Our hospice volunteers embody the heart of our mission, and we are deeply grateful for the love and dignity they help provide.
We thank them for walking alongside those in need with such grace and empathy. They are truly a gift to our community. I encourage others to learn more about hospice care and services or consider volunteering to support their community members in need by contacting Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care at 413-774-2400.
