11:14 a.m. — Black electric scooter with stickers on it reported stolen from Chapman Street. Caller believes it may be a known party. Officers advises he spoke to the party at approximately 11:20 a.m. Party was walking down the street, not in possession of a scooter. Party stated he was unaware of any scooter and denied stealing one. Report issued.

6:58 p.m. — Camden Carroll Hebert, 22, of Deerfield Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Deerfield Street on a warrant.

7:28 p.m. — Greenfield Public Library staff reporting there is a male party sleeping in the library on Main Street and they want him moved along. Previous issues with male party. Party was moved along with no issues.

Tuesday, March 24

9:50 a.m. — Michael J. Peters, 45, of Prospect Avenue in Greenfield, was arrested on Prospect Avenue on a warrant.

3:55 p.m. — Report of a stolen vehicle on Fort Square. Aaron K. Caldwell, 35, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of use of a motor vehicle without authority (third offense), larceny of a motor vehicle (subsequent offense), disturbing the peace, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), resisting arrest and possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

11:03 p.m. — Homeowner from Colrain Road states there is a van outside and that she can hear voices. Would like an officer to check the area. Reporting party states it was an orange or gold van with multiple occupants. No van found matching the description.

Wednesday, March 25

7:50 a.m. — Reporting party from Plain Road states that while he was out of town yesterday, at approximately 2:55 p.m., he noticed a male party with a clipboard walking around his home. Does not believe the individual entered the house. Officer checked with the Assessor’s Office and confirmed they were surveying property.

2:03 p.m. — Reporting party reports money was taken from her wallet after she left it on a table at Wendy’s on Federal Street. Manager states someone pointed to the wallet left on the table, but nobody was observed taking money from it. Store manager will check the video for evidence and call back.

4:10 p.m. — Andrew D. Cruz, 34, of Springfield, was arrested on Franklin Street on charges of trafficking in 200 grams or more of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law. Also arrested was Jashuamil Ramos, 40, of Springfield, on the same two charges.

8:23 p.m. — Attempted breaking and entering on Federal Street. Party states he threw a rock at the bank window and attempted to break it. Joseph Loyal Coleman, 24, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of vandalizing property.

Thursday, March 26

11:04 a.m. — Traffic stop on Miles Street. Alex Thomas Payne, 36, of Brighton, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

5:20 p.m. — Kristin Hahn McCauley, 31, of Park Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Park Street on a warrant.

5:42 p.m. — Caller from Orchard Street believes she is being scammed by someone claiming to be from the gas company. Caller states she has been called three times by a scam number but she has not given them any personal information. Caller was advised to block the number. Nothing stolen or taken.

Friday, March 27

6:59 a.m. — Report of a male party wearing black sweatpants, a black winter coat and mask attempting to break in through a window on Hope Street. Thomas O. Morrill, 61, of Congress Street in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering into a building in the daytime for a felony and possession of a burglarious instrument.

12:21 p.m. — Caller reporting a fight between a male and female near NAPA Auto Parts on Deerfield Street. Female then appeared to be starting a fight with a customer in the parking lot. Female started walking toward the Bank Row underpass. Cassey Jean Platek, 38, of Taylor Hill Road in Montague, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a family/household member and disorderly conduct.

Saturday, March 28

12:12 p.m. — Report of past breaking and entering on Chapman Street. Apartment lock was broken off and the individual entered an abandoned apartment. Cameras are being installed. Services rendered.

9:10 p.m. — Report of a male party screaming on Water Street. Parties stated they were being loud over a baseball game. Services rendered.

11:54 p.m. – Breaking and entering reported on Hayes Avenue. Owner can see someone in his house with flashlights. Not as reported. Reporting party was seeing outside lights reflect off the windows. House was cleared with the homeowner.

Sunday, March 29

2:49 p.m. — Caller on Norwood Street reports she is being followed extremely closely by two vehicles. Reporting party reports they were surrounding her and followed her, making hand gestures out the windows and yelling expletives. Caller was advised to turn down a side street and wait for officers. Caller was advised to drive to the Police Station next time, but the other vehicles were gone upon police arrival.

4:25 p.m. — Report of three juveniles with a red car in the area of Green River Road attempting to start a fire. Fire Department requested an officer head to that location. Officer advising it is a 2-foot-by-2-foot brush pile, under control. Party had a burn permit on file. Found to be three adults burning brush from the season. Fire was dying out and parties were advised to stay until the fire was completely out.
