Please consider the simple phrase: “Thou shalt not kill.“ I find quite a bit of wisdom in those words.
Add: “United States military personnel“ to the phrase. Do you find more or less wisdom? How does it feel?
How about: “Thou shall not kill Iranians.“ Do you find more or less wisdom? No change? The same amount of wisdom? Truth?
I also find quite a bit of wisdom represented in the piece on display at the center of Veterans Mall in Greenfield. I’m very grateful that those who came before us left a Swords into Plowshare’s sculpture for our consideration, today.
