March 28: ‘Tully Mountain Owl Prowl’
ORANGE — The community is invited to participate in a free “Tully Mountain Owl Prowl” on Saturday, March 28, in the fields and forest at the base of the mountain.
Thomas Wansleben, a state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife habitat biologist, will be on site at the Tully Mountain Wildlife Management Area from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Guests will practice owl calls and learn about owl behavior as day turns to night.
There are no indoor facilities at this location, so people are encouraged to dress in layers and sturdy footwear for walking on ungroomed trails and standing in the cold, and possibly the snow. The event is open to all ages.
Send an email to dwyer-huppert@mountgrace.org to RSVP.
