1964: The United States drastically escalates the war in Vietnam; 1975 Vietnam falls to the communists after the deaths of some 58,000 American service members and over one million Vietnamese.
1991 & 2003: The U.S. attacks Iraq to secure the oil market and later to rid Iraq of non-existent weapons of mass destruction. By 2021 Iraq is left in shambles with no functioning government. Also in 2003 the U.S. occupies Afghanistan to rid the country of terrorists. By 2021 Afghanistan is back in the hands of the terrorists. This after more than 4,000 Americans and perhaps 200,000 civilians are killed as well as the expenditure of over $1 trillion.
Tell me again what Mr. Trump, exactly, given our past 50 years of failures, gives you confidence this time it will be different?
