3:52 p.m. — Walk-in to the station from Avenue A states she called earlier in the day to report a hit and run and no officer came. Reporting party states she was looking at it and there is more damage than she thought, so she came to report it again. Report taken.
Tuesday, Feb. 10
8:08 a.m. — Security alarm activated at Crestview Liquors on Unity Street. Called in by the alarm company. Accidental/defective alarm.
Wednesday, Feb. 11
3:52 p.m. — Reporting party on Taylor Hill Road states a dog bit her and would like to know what she should do. Contacted animal control officer to follow up.
7:53 p.m. — Reporting party states he slid off the road and hit a tree on Old Northfield Road. Requesting an officer. Owner is going to try to drive it home. A friend is going to follow him to make sure he makes it home safe.
Friday, Feb. 13
10:38 a.m. — Reporting party from Turnpike Road states that a man in a blue hatchback pulled into the driveway and went on the porch. Reporting party saw this occur on a security camera. No vehicles in the area upon officer’s arrival. Property checked, no issues.
5:56 p.m. — Reporting party on Prospect Street states he just picked his mother up and there are vehicles parked in the driveway next door, but that house is abandoned. Nobody should be there. Officers verified with some other neighbors that the company has been at the property doing work.
Saturday, Feb. 14
10:04 a.m. — Reporting party from Walnut Street states that a male party was pulling on the screen door at the front of the house, then heard dogs barking and took off on foot toward the golf course. Area checked, no one found matching the description.
7:54 p.m. — Reporting party on Greenfield Road states a truck pulled in his driveway and he heard what sounded like a gunshot. After eating dinner, they went outside to check and found a 9mm round. Officer spoke to the neighbors, who did not see or hear anything. Officer would like to see if anything was captured on a nearby Ring camera.
10:27 p.m. — Reporting party states someone was shining a laser pointer at him while he was driving in the area of K Street and he has it recorded by a dash cam. Officer advised.
Sunday, Feb. 15
7:47 a.m. — Reporting party states that roughly 30 minutes ago, he saw a man sleeping behind the wheel of a gray Jeep at Seventh and J streets. When he just drove by again, the male was still there. Officer advised. Male was alert and conscious, moved along.
9:35 a.m. — Reporting party from Marshall Street states her dog is under the kitchen table having a seizure. Reporting party was advised she needs to contact an emergency vet.
Monday, Feb. 16
2:40 a.m. — Security alarm sounding at 253 Farmacy on Millers Falls Road. Officers advised no one was found on the premises. All exterior doors checked and secured.
8:46 a.m. — Officer advising he spoke to a male party who was sitting on the porch of Scalpers Lodge in Lake Pleasant. Male party stated he was looking for a place to charge his phone. No issues at this time.
2:37 p.m. — Reporting party states she was walking by Turners Falls High School on Turnpike Road and she heard an alarm sounding within the building. Officer requesting the keyholder. Phone numbers on file no longer pertain to employees. Alternative contacts provided. Multiple alarms sounding but officer states the building is secure. Officer reports some sort of music event is taking place. Front door was left unlocked, student entered. Maintenance on scene to clear the alarm.
Tuesday, Feb. 17
1:05 p.m. — Reporting party states a multicolored truck is driving up and down Ferry Road very slowly and it looks suspicious. Truck does not have plates on it. Officers advised.
Wednesday, Feb. 18
9:59 a.m. — Reporting party at Clark Avenue and Greenfield Road states she is a visiting nurse and was unable to park in her client’s driveway this morning, so she parked on the side of the road. When she was leaving, a male party was reportedly making threats about her parking there and said if she did again, he would damage/move/tow her vehicle. Caller would like to speak to an officer as she has multiple clients in the area and does not feel safe. Involved male was advised of the complaint and options.
6:39 p.m. — Caller states four teenage boys came into the Millers Falls Laundry Co. on East Main Street and were being loud and disrespectful. They were reportedly using racial slurs and being rough with the machines. Officer spoke with the reporting party. One of the kids came back and apologized to her. Reporting party was advised to call back if they return.
Thursday, Feb. 19
6:49 p.m. — Caller states that an ice dam had fallen at the back alley on Fourth Street and blew the door off. Caller was concerned that the property owner may not know. Ice dam was scheduled for removal on Saturday by the building manager. Rear door of a building on Third Street sustained damage. Resident of the damaged building was securing the door.
11:24 p.m. — Caller reports seeing a flashing light coming from the former Strathmore mill complex on Canal Road. Reporting party states she can hear sounds from time to time, too. Dispatchers advise that the Fire Department is currently at an address on Canal Road checking an alarm. Could be what the caller observed.
Friday, Feb. 20
1:36 p.m. — Caller reports he crashed his car just before the bridge at the bottom of South Prospect Street and the vehicle went partially down an embankment toward the train tracks. He walked to The Whistle Stop Cafe and then called 911. Ambulance requested. Officer advises the vehicle is about 18 feet down the embankment. Tow requested. Officer requests the Department of Public Works treat the roads in the area. Officer also asked that the DPW bring a few barrels to mark the section of road where there is no guardrail.
2:04 p.m. — Motorist reports a tractor-trailer unit is unable to make it to the top of the Unity Street hill and is stuck in the travel lane. Department of Public Works is on scene but can’t get around the traffic to assist. Officers have shut down Unity Street at Park Street and also from Turners Falls Road. Truck has been cleared, all roads open.
Saturday, Feb. 21
8:53 a.m. — Ordinance violation on Millers Falls Road. Officer delivered a notice for a sidewalk that had not been shoveled. Male resident called in stating not enough time has gone by for him to get a violation notice and that it’s the job of the Department of Public Works to clear the sidewalks after they plow the road when it overflows onto them. Officer speaking to male party.
4:34 p.m. — Teah M. Golembeski, 34, of South Prospect Street in Millers Falls, was arrested on South Prospect Street on a warrant.
9:00 p.m. — Officer checking on a vehicle parked in a private dirt lot at the end of Poplar Street. Spoke with the operator who was sleeping. He advised he had a couple beers throughout the night. Due to being located in a private lot, the driver was advised to get a ride home. A friend came and took control of the vehicle.
Sunday, Feb. 22
4:56 p.m. — Reporting party on Rod Shop Road states a male party has been harassing him and today threw dog feces at his building. Incident is on camera. Officer spoke to the reporting party. Feces was thrown onto the lawn. He was advised to post the property to deter trespassing and to call about future issues. Reporting party will attempt to send the police the video footage.
8:28 p.m. — Reporting party states two men in a silver sedan are in the parking lot of Fourth Street stealing tires off of cars. States they have been doing this for the last couple nights as well. Female called back stating the men took the tires off, replaced them with donuts and left. Officer advising two vehicles in the parking lot have donuts on them. One of the owners called in wondering why police were looking at her vehicle. Caller states she knows its registration is expired as she is selling it soon. She states it does have a donut on it as her child’s father put in on and took away the bad tire. Nothing appears to be suspicious at this time.
Monday, Feb. 23
1:10 p.m. — Reporting party from Walnut Street states his wife received a phone call regarding a Social Security number breach, would like to discuss it with an officer. Reporting party was advised not to give out any information, to contact Social Security and to keep an eye on their accounts.
5:42 p.m. — Reporting party from Dell Street is concerned about a gray car that keeps driving back and forth in front of her home. Vehicle was spotted pulling into a driveway on Letourneau Way and the vehicle operator got out and was welcomed inside. No issues.
