10:40 a.m. — Reporting party on L Street is concerned about a white car with two people inside that has been in the driveway for more than an hour. Gone on arrival.
2:46 p.m. — Walk-in to the station from Old Stage Road reports his pearl gray Trek mountain bike went missing from his garage on Sunday. It had a saddle bag attached as well. Report taken.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
4:48 a.m. — Caller from Church Street reports a vehicle is parked in a way that will cause traffic issues. Reporting party states the trash truck will not be able to get around the vehicle. Officer advises the vehicle is not a hazard to traffic, nor to the trash truck.
6:42 p.m. — Reporting party from Millers Falls Road states her 5-year-old daughter is missing. Officer searching the house. Officer states the child was located inside the home hiding under wet clothing in the washing machine.
Thursday, Jan. 22
2:43 a.m. — Caller from L Street reports his neighbor across the street has a vehicle idling in the driveway. Involved vehicle is a Dodge pickup truck. Reporting party is unsure how long the vehicle has been on as he just returned home from work. Officer found no vehicle matching the description in the area.
5:14 p.m. — Caller reports a male party is beating a backpack with a stick on Seventh Street. Officer advised. Involved male declined any need for services and is moving along.
Friday, Jan. 23
5:22 p.m. — Reporting party from Montague City Road states the neighbor who is moving in or cleaning the apartment next to hers is being very rude and put a bottle of seltzer outside her door to try to intimidate her. Reporting party was advised there were no officers available at the moment but that someone would respond to mediate the situation as soon as possible. Reporting party started yelling, stating that’s not OK and no one believes she has real issues. Reporting party later called back apologizing for her behavior, then started yelling, stating that she fell on her knee and she doesn’t know why the Police Department thinks this behavior is acceptable. She was again advised officers would respond as soon as they are available. Officer attempting to make contact with the neighbors to let them know to stay away from the reporting party. Found the neighboring apartment was being renovated. Reporting party will bring a statement form to police.
9:34 p.m. — Caller reports being followed by a red Mustang since Belchertown. Mustang was initially in front of him and was slamming on the brakes. Reporting party turned onto another road and the Mustang followed him and is now behind him. Officers behind the vehicle on Greenfield Road. Officer has the vehicle stopped. Seems to be coincidental at this time, driver works in Greenfield and is headed there. Officers have dealt with the involved male in the past, no issues.
Saturday, Jan. 24
1:28 p.m. — Reporting party from Oakman Street states she is sitting by the window and thinks a juvenile ran off with the mail from her mailbox. Mailbox is attached to the house near the breezeway. K-9 track confirmed no fresh human odor was leading away from the home. Reporting party said she had outgoing mail clipped to the box. Reporting party was advised of the findings and to check with the Post Office during business hours to confirm they picked up her outgoing mail.
Sunday, Jan. 25
11:20 a.m. — Store manager from Cumberland Farms on Montague City Road states she is worried a male party is going to come to the store as he believes that the store should not have charged him sales tax on a propane tank and he is demanding his money back. Officer spoke to both parties and gave the male options.
11:24 a.m. — Reporting party from Davis Street states he has had two 20-pound propane tanks stolen in the last 20 days, and he bought a new one at Cumberland Farms, but he is concerned they charged him wrong and he wants to file a report.
Monday, Jan. 26
9:58 a.m. — Reporting party from Sunrise Terrace states her dog ran out of the house and she has not been able to locate him. Described as a black and white dog with floppy ears. Off-duty officer located the dog stuck in a snowbank. He retrieved it and brought it inside his garage to warm up. Another officer will pick up the dog and bring it back to the owner.
10:08 a.m. — Reporting party states there are a couple vehicles parked in the road on Kingsley Avenue despite the parking ban. Reporting party called back to say that the upstairs neighbor shoveled snow from his car in front of her car and now she is blocked in. Report taken.
Tuesday, Jan. 27
4:05 p.m. — Reporting party wants an officer to respond to her home as she called the other day and she still has not heard from someone. She states that someone replaced parts in her car and it’s not right and hard for her to use. Officer advised.
5:25 p.m. — Reporting party states a car is parking in a “no parking” zone on Avenue A and he is unable to get by. Caller would like the car removed as someone already hit it and nobody can get in and out of the alley. Officer states the car is parked in the fire lane. Made contact with the owner, who was unloading her car and wasn’t going to leave it there. Owner moved the vehicle.
Wednesday, Jan. 28
12:58 p.m. — Walk-in to the station is concerned about a construction vehicle parked on South High Street, impeding traffic and snow removal. The vehicle is not blocking traffic and the road has been cleared of snow. No issues.
Thursday, Jan. 29
3:56 p.m. — Reporting party states a vehicle drove into a snowbank on Main Street. Driver is out of the vehicle and is not injured. Officers advised. Vehicle is lodged in the snowbank. Officers attempting to get it out. Tow was needed.
Friday, Jan. 30
10:03 a.m. — Reporting party from Wentworth Avenue states there is a strange man at their property. Grid One, contracted through Eversource, is in the neighborhood upgrading residential meters.
3:35 p.m. — Reporting party states there is someone walking in the river under the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge. No description given. Officer advising there is a male party near the island who appears to be taking pictures. Officer spoke to the male party who stated it’s a beautiful day and he wants to take pictures. Not in any distress.
Saturday, Jan. 31
6:28 p.m. — Reporting party on Park Villa Drive states she was at the neighbor’s house upstairs for most of the day and when she returned home, she found two envelopes near where she does puzzles and they had names on them. She did open them and states one of them had $300 in it and the other had $100. She has put them in her jewelry box, but is fearful that someone is going to return for them or that someone has a key to her place. Officer called the female party and advised her of options.
Monday, Feb. 2
9:25 p.m. — Reporting party on Fourth Street would like to speak to an officer about scam calls he is receiving, about 20 per day. Caller was advised not to give out personal information over the phone and to monitor his credit score and bank statements for fraud. Reporting party has not given out any information, was just concerned about the volume of calls he has received recently.
Tuesday, Feb. 3
3:29 p.m. — Reporting party from Greenfield Road states someone dumped old mattresses and box springs at the end of his driveway. Wants it on record, states he is calling the Department of Public Works.
3:43 p.m. — Reporting party states the residents of two houses on Millers Falls Road did not shovel their sidewalk, creating a safety hazard. Would like them fined. Officer advised.
8:56 p.m. — Andy Joseph Brileya, 55, of Millers Falls Road in Turners Falls, was arrested on a warrant.
Wednesday, Feb. 4
7:22 a.m. — Reporting party states there is a green Toyota Tacoma that is parked in front of his home on Goddard Avenue and it was there yesterday as well. Vehicle was not in the area upon officer’s arrival. Officer spoke with the reporting party who stated they talked to the guy in the truck and he said he was there watching his son.
Thursday, Feb. 5
10:03 a.m. — Suspicious vehicle reported on Avenue A. Male party is either passed out or sleeping. Contact made, male was taking a nap. Currently living out of his vehicle. Dog was running around outside, was advised the dog needs to be on a leash.
Friday, Feb. 6
3:41 p.m. — Reporting party states he’s attempting to get his father’s phone from the Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) on Sandy Lane and his father is not with him. He doesn’t know the passcode to get into the phone and they won’t give it to him. Reporting party would like an officer to make the FRTA give him the phone. Officers responding. Reporting party provided sufficient information that his father was the owner of the phone and he was given the phone.
Saturday, Feb. 7
2:41 p.m. — Reporting party on Turners Falls Road is concerned about a large amount of snow that a resident has thrown in the road, creating a traffic hazard. Investigated. Amount of snow does not appear to be a hazard at this time.
10:06 p.m. — Caller at Subway on Avenue A states a male party left pills in a bag on a table. Officer will retrieve the pills and try to locate the male party. Items returned.
