The Frontier fifth and sixth grade girls Suburban basketball team went undefeated over the weekend, winning three straight games. On Sunday, Frontier downed Amherst, 45-8, at Goodnow Gymnasium. Mia Beckwith (eight points) and Elliet Novak (six points) led the offensive charge in the win over the Hurricanes.

On Saturday, the Redhawks took down Greenfield, 37-35, on the road at Nichols Gymnasium. Heidi Benson netted a game-high 15 points in the win.  

The Redhawks visited East Longmeadow on Friday, beating the Spartans 42-35. Grace Barshefsky (12 points) and Benson (14 points) paced the offense for Frontier (11-2).

Boys basketball

Eagle Hill 67, Four Rivers 38 The Otters fell in the RVAL finals on the road to Eagle Hill on Thursday. Cooper Whitney scored 16 points for Four Rivers. Kolin Broderick had eight points, four steals and four rebounds.

Henry Schwerin added five points, two steals and 10 rebounds. Miles Radzlaff worked the glass and led the defense to the tune of eight steals and six rebounds.

Hampshire 42, Greenfield 39 — The fifth and sixth grade boys Suburban team staged a comeback, but couldn’t quite get there in a road loss to the Raiders on Feb. 3. Lobsang Jamyang scored 23 points on 10-for-21 from the floor with 11 rebounds for the Green Wave. Toby Campbell also registered a double-double, with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Brody Suhl dished out four assists for Greenfield.

Greenfield Elks Pitch League

The Greenfield Elks Pitch League played their matches on February 11 at the Greenfield Elks Club. Here are the leaders through week six. First place: Dougle Houle (20 points); second place: Bob Ferris, Tim Wondoloski, Todd Goulet (19 points); third place: Neil Black, Jim Elwell, Jim Burke (18 points).
