Anthony F. Muszynski, Jr.

Northampton, MA – Anthony F. Muszynski Jr, 75, passed away Sunday February 1, 2026, at CareOne in Northampton. He was born in Montague June 27, 1950, the son of Anthony and Helen (Wysk) Muszynski Sr.

He attended Turners Falls School and graduated from Turners Falls High School in 1969. He attended the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Tony was a machine operator at Judd Wire for over 40 years.

Tony loved spending time outdoors with a special place in his heart for the Deerfield River. He spent his life studying local waterways, focused on their entomology. He was a master of tying flies for fly fishing. He loved to teach others and ran many clinics on tying flies as well as fly fishing casts and techniques. He also loved reading, cooking, and gardening.

Tony is survived by his son AJ, his partner Melanie, and grandsons Jozef and Samuel who live in Leverett, MA.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 44 years Diane M. (Sowul) Muszynski on November 30, 2025.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Trinity Parish/Blessed Sacrament Church at 10am on Monday February 9, 2026. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held from 8:30-9:30 AM at Kostanski Funeral Home 220 Federal St. Greenfield.
