The Frontier fifth and sixth grade girls Suburban team lost a close contest to Easthampton, 22-20, at Goodnow Gymnasium on Sunday.
Grace Barshefsky scored seven points with Heidi Benson adding six points for Frontier (4-2). Barshefsky nailed a couple clutch free-throws with 38 seconds left in the game to even the score, 20-20. Easthampton’s defense made a big block on an ensuing possession, leading to the game-winning basket with 10 seconds left for the Eagles.
Greenfield United
Registration for Greenfield United’s spring season is now open. Greenfield United is a competitive travel soccer program for young soccer players in the Greenfield area. The season runs from April until June.
The league offers a beginner program for players ages 5-7, with one practice a week and no matches. For ages 8-14, teams practice twice a week and play one match a week. Deadline to register is Feb. 15.

Here are the high scores from last week. In Sunday Scott Doubles, Scott Schneider and Kendall Schneider rolled a 112 in high single and a 326 in high triple. In Monday’s Mixed League, Missy Finn rolled a 106 in high single while Jen Tobey scored a 268 in high triple.
In Tuesday’s Mixed League, Genni Garanin rolled a 103 in high single and a 262 in high triple. Mike Elie carded a 113 in high single while Paul Hollings scored a 299 in high triple.
In Wednesday’s Mixed League, Cherie Semaine scored a 97 in high single. Marilyn Wilson rolled a 265 in high triple. Erich Price scored a 131 in high single and a 314 in high triple. In Thursday’s Mixed League, Colleen Barrows scored an 89 in high single and a 259 in high triple. Isaiah Morales scored a 111 in high single, while Jeff Brisson carded a 316 in high triple.
