The 33nd annual David M. Petrin Alumni Hockey Game will be held Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield. The game will feature Greenfield High School and Green Wave alumni.

After the game, the Greenfield hockey team hosts Minnechaug on Senior Night.

All GHS and Green Wave hockey alumni are welcome to play, with roster spots still available. Interested alumni should call Larry Petrin (413-687-2719) and leave their name, telephone number and year of graduation.

There will be a raffle held, with all proceeds going to benefit the David M. Petrin Memorial Scholarship, awarded each spring to Greenfield High School graduates. For more information or to learn how to donate, please contact any member of the Petrin family.

Boys basketball

Greenfield 75, Southwick 8 — The 5th and 6th grade Suburban team took down the Rams at home on Jan. 3. Lobsang Jamyang dropped 19 points for the Green Wave with Grabiel Ortiz chipping in with five points.

Greenfield 57, Turners Falls 17 — After a quick turnaround, the 5th and 6th graders downed the Thunder at home on Jan. 4. Toby Campbell led the way with 13 points. Ortiz (12 points) and Jamyang (10 points) also reached double-figures for the Green Wave.  Greenfield moves into this weekend’s competition without a blemish on its record.

Greenfield 80, Southwick 14 — JJ Bones netted 17 points for the 7th and 8th grade Suburban squad in a home win over the Rams on Jan. 3. Nick Coulombe added 12 points, with Wes Darling dropping 10 points for Greenfield.

Greenfield 74, Turners Falls 48 — The 7th and 8th graders followed with a win over the Thunder at home on Jan. 4. Bones led the way with 20 points. Wes Darling also reached double-figures with 12 points. Phil Brodeur added nine points for the Green Wave. Greenfield is undefeated heading into this weekend.

Four Rivers 51, MacDuffie School 19 — The Otters opened their season with a win over MacDuffie on Jan. 6. Kolin Broderick scored 14 points for Four Rivers. Cooper Whitney and Henry Schwerin also reached double-figures with 10 points each.

Girls basketball

Frontier 35, Amherst 7 — The Frontier 5th and 6th grade squad passed a road test on Jan. 4 with a win over the Hurricanes. Heidi Benson and Faith Stanisewski scored eight points apiece for the Redhawks (3-0).

Frontier 48, Amherst 6 — Charley Harrington and McKenna Morey each had nine points in the road win over the Hurricanes for the 7th and 8th grade squad on Jan. 4. Frontier is now 2-0.
