Jan. 10: Dance fundraiser to benefit Mary Lyon Emergency Fund

SHELBURNE — The West County Climate Circle and the Ashfield Affinity group are co-sponsoring a dance to raise money for the Mary Lyon Emergency Fund, which provides food for residents in need.

The dance will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Shelburne Grange Fellowship Hall, located at 17 Little Mohawk Road off Route 2.

The suggested donation is $10. Snacks will be available by donation.

Federated Church holding budget meeting

CHARLEMONT — The Charlemont Federated Church at 175 Main St. will hold a congregational meeting on Sunday, Jan. 25, after church services to discuss the budget. The meeting is expected to start at around 10:30 a.m.

In the event of snow, the meeting will be rescheduled to Sunday, Feb. 8. All are welcome to attend, although only church members may vote on issues that come up.

Drop-in ping-pong sessions begin Jan. 7

SHELBURNE FALLS — The Shelburne Recreation Committee invites residents to stop by the Cowell Gymnasium at 50 Maple St. to partake in games of ping-pong on Wednesday nights beginning Jan. 7.

Participants can drop in anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. to play. The suggested donation for Shelburne residents is $2 and it is $5 for non-residents.
