On Monday, fans of American TV and movies were saddened to learn of Rob Reiner’s death, and that also of his wife, Michele. We were then shocked to hear they were possibly murdured by their own son. The industry turned out with their condolences and accolades, as well they all should have. He was great.

But then our president had to chime in, and of course made this terrible tragedy all about him. You can go look it up, I won’t print his foul scree here. In his opinion, Reiner apparently suffered from “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” talking about it so much it agitated his troubled son’s mind, who resorted to murder to make him stop. What our president is really saying is “look at what happens when you speak badly about me.”

Where do you start with such a heartless, self-centered statement? Why are we not surprised at his callous opportunistic self promotion? Has he no humanity? No empathy? How did we wind up with such a bullying, un-presidential president? I’m horrified.
