9:48 a.m. — Report of a sinkhole forming by the sidewalk at Ames and School streets, by the TD Bank parking lot. Six-inch hole next to a catch basin. Cone put over the hole, Department of Public Works notified.
1:01 p.m. — Reporting party from Conway Street states he saw numerous empty cans of nitrous oxide in the neighbor’s recycling bin. Party advised he has not seen anything out of the ordinary from the people who live at this address, but wanted to make police aware. Services rendered.
3:22 p.m. — Reporting party on Western Avenue wishing to speak to an officer regarding his father being scammed. No scam. Secondary electric company soliciting for people to change from Eversource. No personal information given. Services rendered.
Tuesday, Nov. 11
2:08 p.m. — Abandoned 911 call received from Conway Street. Officer sent. On call back, spoke with a party who stated “the horns are after me again” and hung up. Party is mad about people honking their car horns.
6:45 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street. Officers sent. Reporting party states a male party is screaming outside in the back of this location. No signs of distress inside the store. Unable to locate party in the area.
9:27 p.m. — Reporting party from D’Angelo’s on the Mohawk Trail reports seeing a bunch of blankets on the sidewalk with what looked like a person underneath. Party was identified and moved along.
10:17 p.m. — Party states she was out walking her dog at Chapman and Pleasant streets and a man on a bike with a big black dog on a leash attacked her. Her dog was bitten and is now at the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in South Deerfield getting treated. Animal control officer advised, will contact dog owner in the morning.
Wednesday, Nov. 12
2:35 a.m. — Reporting party states she can hear a male and female fighting and is worried about the female. Reporting party states it is somewhere to the left behind the Salvation Army on Chapman Street. Noise disturbance, parties were told to quiet down. Male party left the apartment upon police arrival. Peace restored.
8:10 a.m. — Officer assisting another agency on Nash’s Mill Road. Eversource employee requesting police assistance in removing a party (who is currently in a trailer) from the property. Party was advised by police he has until Friday to remove all his property from this location. Eversource will be back at that time to check. Party was also advised of criminal and civil liabilities if he does not move the camper.
10:23 p.m. — Reporting party from Colrain Street reports hearing someone rattling her door, but didn’t see anyone. Spoke with homeowner, same advised that she heard her back porch door handle “rattle.” Officers conducted a walk-through of the backyard. Back door is secure. Homeowner was advised to lock the door and windows and contact police if further issues arise. Services rendered.
Thursday, Nov. 13
5:38 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Allen Street. Officer to investigate. Reporting party said his vehicle and his wife’s vehicle were broken into the night before. Both vehicles were left unlocked. Party said nothing valuable was taken besides his daughter’s Apple earbuds. No cameras on the property.
7:55 a.m. — Report of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Cleveland Street. Officer to investigate. Vehicle unlocked, brown wallet taken. Report issued.
6:18 p.m. — Reporting party at Greenfield Middle School on Federal Street is locked in and can’t get out. She is in Room 114. Reporting party was able to get out of the room and was looking to get into the auditorium. Party was advised to walk to the Federal Street entrance, walk in the school that way and she’ll be in front of the auditorium.
8:36 p.m. — Caller from Deerfield Street advised she had an interaction with a male party who was walking on her property. Caller stated the male party was not making sense and then she saw a Facebook post of him walking on people’s decks and snooping around. Caller stated nothing was taken from her deck and just wanted the incident documented.
11:55 p.m. — Alexis Paige Williamson, 26, of Chapman Court in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant on Chapman Court.
Friday, Nov. 14
12:02 a.m. — Owner at Roundabout Books on Pierce Street states he has been working late the last few nights and a unknown vehicle is parking in their lot. States it stays there for about 30 minutes then moves along. Vehicle was gone on arrival.
12:56 a.m. — Officer assisting another agency behind Smitty’s Pub on Chapman Street. Berkshire & Eastern Railroad advises they had a train go through Greenfield and they noticed there is a tent set up behind this location that is touching the railroad ties. Requesting police check the area and speak with any parties about the dangers. Officer advises the tent is unoccupied. Police moved the tent farther away from the tracks. Tent was part of a larger encampment behind 72 Chapman St.
11:36 a.m. — Henry Walker Ball, 18, of Shelburne Center Road in Shelburne Falls, was arrested on a warrant.
3:12 p.m. — Reporting party states two people are attacking an employee at the Garden Cinemas on Main Street and attempting to steal from him. While on the phone, the involved parties went outside. Second employee called stating the same. Parties noticed a pair of headphones on the employee and they think the headphones are the ones that were taken from one of them a few months ago. They took the headphones from the employee. Employee was advised of his options. Both parties were advised they are not welcome at the Garden Cinemas. Employee was advised on how no-trespass orders work.
4:10 p.m. — Reporting party would like to speak to an officer regarding damage sustained to her vehicle while driving through a construction zone on River Street. Officer spoke with the reporting party as well as the detail supervisor. Crew supervisor stated that when he spoke with the reporting party, her story changed multiple times. Detail officers were on scene, along with two flaggers, and there were no other complaints about vehicle damage.
Saturday, Nov. 15
1:47 p.m. — Caller reports a brindle-colored dog with a white underbelly and paws, with no tags, is loose at Alden and Beech streets. Animal control officer advised. Gracie returned home to Alden Street.
5:29 p.m. — Caller from Oak Courts states his neighbor is continuing to bang on the walls with extreme force and has been seen trying to look in their windows. Spoke to the tenant, advised them of the complaint.
11:22 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street. Officers sent. Caller reports a female party out front is causing a disturbance and bothering customers. Could not locate.
Sunday, Nov. 16
7:54 a.m. — Caller from Barton Road woke up to find an older orange snowblower in their yard. Unsure if it was stolen and dropped off on her lawn. Snowblower was left at around 10 p.m. the night before. No reports of any stolen snowblowers.
3:03 p.m. — Reporting party at Pleasant and Davis streets states a woman who lives in this area is rude to her. Reporting party did not wish to speak to an officer, however she demanded someone try to talk to the woman about the way she talks to people. No threats were made to the reporting party but the woman allegedly made a comment about killing the reporting party’s dog. Reporting party wanted it documented.
9:58 p.m. — Reporting party calling to report that there is very loud music coming from somewhere on Harrison Avenue. No music heard in the area. Unfounded.
11:08 p.m. — Reporting party reports a man came into the F.L. Roberts gas station on Main Street, told her that he had COVID-19 and was asking for money. Male then began harassing her. Male left on his own, however she is scared he will come back. Left heading toward Rite Aid. Party was advised to stop bothering establishments. Services rendered.
11:30 p.m. — Report of breaking and entering on Washington Street. Officer to investigate. Reporting party states a male party just forced entry into his home. Reporting party was able to get him back outside, however, he is still on the premises and just gained entry into the other apartment. Vladislav V. Popusoi, 33, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on two counts of unarmed burglary.
