Thursday, Oct. 23

9:48 a.m. — Report of two males in a white truck that says “asphalt” on the side going door to door on Wildwood Avenue stating they are doing paving in the area. Gone on arrival.

11:01 a.m. — Report of a male party on Laurel Street wanting to sell half a load of asphalt to the reporting party to redo their driveway. Last known direction of travel was toward the fairgrounds. Gone on arrival.

3:17 p.m. — Jorge Alberto Amaya, 39, of Springfield, was arrested at CVS Pharmacy on Federal Street on a charge of possession of a Class B drug.

5:39 p.m. — Reporting party states a female party yelled at her about using the vacuum hose at the Golden Nozzle Car Wash on Newton Street for too long. Verbal argument over which side to vacuum on. Both parties were separated and moved along.

9:29 p.m. — Liam Thomas McFarland, 36, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Conway Street on charges of possession of a Class B drug (two counts), distributing a Class B drug and possession with intent to distribute a Class C drug.

Friday, Oct. 24

5:48 a.m. — Caller from Mill Street reports she believes there are two parties in the apartment and no one is supposed to be there. Parties inside the apartment claimed they were concerned for the residents who lived there due to the state of the building. Parties were advised they were trespassing and were moved along.

5:42 p.m. — Reporting party from the Reed building on Franklin Street states one of his tenants is reporting their groceries were taken, however, there was also important paperwork in the bags that they need back. No answer on callback, left a voicemail.

5:56 p.m. — Reporting party from Riverside Drive believes someone broke into an apartment. States the window is open and he heard a loud sound like glass shattering. Officer requesting maintenance for front door. Rear window was left open to a vacant apartment that is being redone. No sign of a break-in or vandalism.

Saturday, Oct. 25

1:47 a.m. — Trespassing reported at Energy Park. Robert G. O’Brien, 37, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

5:57 a.m. — Caller from Prospect Street states there is a suspicious man in a tan Honda sitting outside. Taxi driver waiting on a client.

9:34 p.m. — Reporting party states the noise at Smitty’s Pub on Chapman Street is shaking his building. Reporting party was advised of the Halloween party there. Business was advised, will turn it down to a more reasonable volume.

Sunday, Oct. 26

4:15 p.m. — Reporting party in the area of Wells Street and Silver Place states a tractor trailer in the parking lot across the street has been running for the last three or four days without moving. Officer made contact with the driver. Vehicle not running, parked, safe.

5:43 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a seemingly abandoned trailer on Nash’s Mill Road with a German shepherd inside. Dog visually observed to be OK.
