William “Bill” Kingsbury, Sr.

Oregon, MO – William Wayne “Bill” Kingsbury, Sr. was born on September 7, 1938 in Shelburne Center, MA to Raymond A. and S. Elizabeth (Gilmore) Kingsbury. He was one of five children.

Bill was a self-employed building contractor. On August 4, 1973 he married Wanda Warden. They made their home in Greenfield, MA before moving to Oregon, MO in 1999.

Bill passed away at his Oregon, Missouri home on November 12, 2025 at the age of 87.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Sylvia Rice; and brothers, Richard and Donald Kingsbury.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; daughters, Donna Emond and Kim Blanchard, both of Charlemont, MA, and Mary Sipes of Savannah, MO; sons, Daniel Kingsbury of Mound City, MO and William “Bill” Kingsbury, Jr. of Laguna Woods, CA; step children, Leonard Graves, Jr. of American Falls, ID, Leean Keeler of Oregon, MO, and Leland Graves of Malta Bend, MO; sister, Rae Capen of Orlando, FL; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Bill enjoyed sitting around a campfire with all the kids and playing games. He liked to travel and explore new parts of the country. William loved woodworking, and building and remodeling homes. He also enjoyed acting in community theater with his son, Bill, Jr., and being in his movie, “Wish You Were Here.”
