SHELBURNE โ€” Three people were transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center Thursday afternoon after a Subaru with two elderly occupants and a Saab with a male driver collided on Route 2, resulting in the state highwayโ€™s temporary closure, according to Greenfield Fire Chief Robert Strahan.

Although the front end of the Saab appeared to have sustained significant damage and the Subaru, turned over on its side, was heavily damaged, Strahan said the occupantsโ€™ injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening following the head-on collision.
