After a 22-0 win over Ludlow in South Deerfield on Nov. 2, the Frontier junior Red Hawks punched their ticket to the Super Bowl.
The Red Hawks ran a balanced offense with multiple players finding the end zone. Johnny Stanisewski, Ryan Washburn, Lane Kicza, Kyrie Petrizzi-Richmond and Jack Carney all scored for Frontier.
Center Brody Bailey and Henry Baker anchored the offensive line for Frontier. On defense, the Red Hawks never allowed Ludlow to gain momentum with timely fourth down stops and turnovers. Silas Shulda and Phin Friz provided pressure on the quarterback, while Bryce Urjiel and Lennon Pheasant provided most of the tackling. In the final minutes, big blocks by Garrett Gallagher and Bentlee Candelaria helped seal the win and run out the clock.
With the victory, the Red Hawks will play for a Super Bowl championship on Sunday against Easthampton at East Longmeadow High School. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m.
