After listening to the questions and answers about the Hope Street lot filmed by GCTV on Oct. 29, I had a a couple of questions I wished I’d asked. They are: when the Fire Department resided at the Hope Street disputed area, I never heard there was a parking issue. Why now? Perhaps the issue is about something else?

I’d think an architect could come up with a way, if housing was to go into the Hope Street lot, for there to be enough parking included in the design for those residing there.

From my experience, those with handicapped issues have been provided with stickers or placards, and can park wherever they want. If it’s temporary, one can be dropped off, or ask for other assistance.

Thank you to GCTV, Buz Eisenberg, and the League of Women Voters for making the discourse available to our community. And thanks to Amy, John, Susan and Wid for taking part in the evening.
