I almost made a huge mistake. I initially supported a yes vote on the Hope Street ballot question simply because I didn’t understand the wording. I mean, what can be wrong with saying “yes,” right?
Wrong — and I fear that some of my fellow voters may be experiencing the same kind of confusion. I now realize that a “No” vote stands for progress, opportunity, creative decision-making, housing and vitality. A “Yes” vote stands for … well … more of the same-old … a parking lot, at best, or another vacant lot.
Hope Street deserves better. We deserve better. Please join me in upholding the City Council’s action on the Hope Street lot by refusing to rescind, and by voting “No” on Question 1.
