In the Oct. 25 Recorder, a front-page article about SNAP benefits said people will be losing them because of “the Republican government shutdown.” The Republicans have repeatedly voted to keep the government open while the Democrats have repeatedly voted to keep it shut down. Shouldn’t these articles be truthful?
