Fountain, CO – Ken embraced the Lord peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 87 in the special care of those at Pikes Peak Hospice. He was born on December 30, 1937, to Charlotte (Provost) and Myron Griswold, in Montague, MA, with his family moving to Greenfield shortly after. "Kenny" as he was known, graduated from Greenfield High School, immediately joining the U.S. Air Force, serving 20 years as a computer programmer for the DOD. His assignments included MA, KS, MI and CO, also serving 2-yearlong hitches in Korea in 1958 and 1968. While on leave Ken met and later married his sweetheart, Nancy Savinski of So. Deerfield, MA. They were married for 65 years!
After retiring from the USAF, Ken worked as a programmer for the Dept. of Labor (Civil Service) where he commuted daily from Fountain, CO to Denver, CO. Caring and providing for his family was Ken's ultimate priority. He fully retired in 1977, where he enjoyed fishing, venturing to Cripple Creek for video poker with his buddy Don, piddling around his workshop making bird houses, doing paint-by-number masterpieces or sitting with a Sudoku book.
Ken is predeceased by his siblings Loretta "Tootie", Beverly, Donald, Bobby and Gary. His sister Charlene survives. He is survived by his wife Nancy and four daughters: Donna Hughes (Jim), Deborah Craig, Amy Beth Griswold and Laura Griswold (who preceded him in death; 2025), who he loved very much. He leaves behind grandchildren: Lindsey (John), Brittany (Robert), Nathan (preceded in death 2008), and Nicholas (Wynne) Dillon, Miranda and Lexie, also nine great Grands: Colin Kenneth (his namesake), Marlayna, Gia, Carson, Lilly, Leland, Elias, Kimber, Lennon and several nieces, nephews and their families. Ken (Grampie) will be so missed!
To celebrate Ken's life, a memorial reception will be held at: Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colo. Spgs., CO Friday, October 24, 2025 at 11:30 am
