Deerfield has an immense opportunity coming before it at the special Town Meeting on Oct. 29. We have the opportunity to become a climate leader in the state as more than 90 other cities and towns in Massachusetts have done. Should we pass the three warrant articles on climate, we can access over $1 million dollars in state grants at a time when all homeowners are feeling the pinch of higher taxes. If you are a Deerfield resident and are not familiar with these proposed bylaws, you can learn about them on Oct. 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Deerfield Elementary School.
