If the mayor of Greenfield sells the Hope Street parking lot as a bunch of condos, she has already said they won’t be affordable. That leaves out the low-income people who need housing the most!
Question 1 on the Nov. 4 ballot would stop the mayor from selling the Hope Street parking lot as surplus. If we are trying to help low-income people buy affordable housing, unaffordable housing misses the target population completely!
Vote “Yes” on 1, and let’s keep the parking revenue to actually build something affordable.
