We urge everyone who is planning to or considering voting “Yes” on the upcoming ballot question 1 to thoroughly, and with an open mind, read the front-page article in the Tuesday, Oct. 7 edition of this newspaper. It is entitled “Report lays bare local housing crisis.” The article lays out many solid, fact-based reasons why we should support building housing on the Hope Street lot (and elsewhere in our city). The facts and evidence are clear. Please vote as if housing were a right, not a privilege.
