In the Oct. 6 edition of the Recorder, My Turn contributor Dan Brown submitted a column entitled “Will America step back from the abyss?” I don’t need to write a long-winded answer to Mr. Brown’s question. I’ll keep it short and sweet. America already stepped back from the abyss when the majority of the country voted for Donald Trump in the November election. Can you imagine where our country would be right now if someone as pathetically stupid as Kamala Harris had been elected president?
The day after the election, local voting totals indicated that 80% of the voters in Hampden and Franklin County voted for Kamala Harris. Thank God we had more voters in the rest of the country who had more common sense to vote for Donald Trump.
