8:55 a.m. — Caller on Sunset Drive reports finding a skunk in her mother’s pool. Message left for the animal control officer.

11:47 a.m. — Report of an unwanted male party sleeping in a chair in front of Swanson’s Fabrics on Avenue A. Officers moved him along.

Saturday, Aug. 2

7:21 a.m. — Reporting party states a male and female are arguing loudly in the alley on 11th Street. She has locked herself in a vehicle and he is banging on the glass. Officers advised. Verbal argument, parties separated.

12:59 p.m. — Reporting party states a motorcyclist on a black older model Kawasaki is using The Patch neighborhood as a racetrack. Caller is nervous for children’s safety. Officers unable to locate. Will monitor the area throughout the shift.

8:26 p.m. — Officer advises a house on Charron Street is having a big bonfire. Spoke to the Turners Falls Fire Department, will check if that residence has a burn permit. If not, the department will respond. Fire Department responding. No permit on record.

Sunday, Aug. 3

12:44 a.m. — Reporting party on Third Street states someone has stolen her computer, a charger that goes to her PlayStation controllers and some of her medication. Reporting party states she reported to Massachusetts State Police the other day that her neighbors are the ones stealing her stuff. Officer advised. Reporting party called back and advised that she found the computer, but the charger is still missing.

11:13 a.m. — Reporting party states her car is stuck in the car wash on Montague City Road. Officer advises the car hit the machine in the car wash. Car was removed from the wash bay. No apparent damage to the machine. Vehicle sustained cosmetic damage to the front right bumper. Parties were advised of options.

Monday, Aug. 4

4:53 p.m. — Reporting party from Franklin Street states the downstairs tenant is causing a scene and would like officers to respond. Officer states the situation is under control, was told it’s a civil matter and to take it to court.

10:31 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a bonfire in the alley on Fourth Street. Shelburne Control Dispatch Center contacted to send the Fire Department.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

2:54 p.m. — Reporting party from Fifth Street states a male party just knocked on his door saying he sells solar and he wanted to give him information about it. States he told the male party to get off his property. Reporting party feels the male party is suspicious and wants him arrested before he hurts someone. States the individual is walking on Fifth Street toward Avenue A. Officer advised.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

12:31 p.m. — Reporting party reports vehicles have been speeding down Turner Street a lot lately. Advised she just saw a Kia Optima or a Geo speed down the street going approximately 30 mph when the posted speed is 15 mph. She is concerned for the safety of the children that play in the area. Officer advised.

6:33 p.m. — Caller states she is walking her dogs on Old Sunderland Road and there are a couple dogs running around barking. Caller was given the number for animal control.

Thursday, Aug. 7

3:51 p.m. — Reporting party on King Avenue states a male party stopped at her shed yesterday and opened it. Unsure if anything was taken. She was able to pull up camera footage but it only views the back of the male. Would like it on record at this time.

6:12 p.m. — Gill Police Department advises a subject is 35 feet in the air on top of the monument on the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge. Individual was told to come down and moved along. Subject left down Avenue A.

Friday, Aug. 8

9:42 a.m. — Caller reports the red light on the corner of Avenue A near Pipione’s Sport Shop is not working. Message left for the Department of Public Works. Officers checked and the light was working when they responded.

3:08 p.m. — Caller reports a Subaru with Pennsylvania plates has been parked in front of her house on Second Street all day. It appears to have been broken into. Officer reporting the car is secure and does not look like it was broken into.

10:09 p.m. — Reporting party states there are three or four juveniles in the middle of the road in front of the Millers Pub on East Main Street and they caused a motorcycle to skid approximately 20 feet. Officer advised. Individuals were gone on arrival.

Saturday, Aug. 9

9:12 a.m. — Walk-in to the station would like to speak to an officer regarding a stolen electric mountain bike (Keteles XF4000) from Broadway in Lake Pleasant. Has cameras but states they were not working. Officer advised.

7:43 p.m. — Reporting party from Third Street states her credit cards were stolen off her nightstand in her bedroom. Officer advised. Party called back and advised that her money order for $209 was also stolen.

Sunday, Aug. 10

11:58 a.m. — Reporting party from Third Street states a neighbor is accusing him of stealing her credit cards and when he was leaving his house today she was screaming at him out the window. Ongoing issue, but would like to speak to an officer. Officer advised.

1:45 p.m. — Reporting party from Montague City Road states she needs to speak to an officer to press charges. No further details given as she will not speak to someone other than an officer. Reporting party told an officer that a female party is messing with her health records and she wants her prosecuted. Reporting party then hung up on the officer.
