The Frontier youth football peewee, junior and senior teams were in action over the past weekend and all three picked up wins.

The Frontier Redhawks peewee squad emerged victorious against the Palmer Cowboys on Sunday, 18-0.  The Redhawks offense took the field first, led by quarterback Bodhi Dark, and executed a successful drive down the field. Dark’s strong running, backed by a trio of formidable lead blockers — James Griffin, Cody Liimatainen, and Colton Urkiel — resulted in the first of two touchdowns on the day for Dark. Colton Urkiel contributed to the team’s scoring with a long touchdown run, supported by well-executed blocks from Sammy Rappe and the rest of the Hawks’ offensive line.

The Redhawks had the chance to give some of the rookies valuable playing time on Sunday. Owen Bernashe stepped up and played a crucial role on the line of scrimmage, both on offense and defense. Beau Williams continued his strong performance, playing at safety. Gaines Hebert showcased his speed and aggressive play, assisting in multiple tackles.

The Cowboys offense struggled to gain significant ground against the formidable Redhawk defense, which was led by relentless defensive line pressure from Jazyah Penza, James Griffin, and Bodhi Dark throughout the game. Solid tackling and strong team defense, led by Rush Moody, Cody Liimatainen, and Colton Urkiel, enabled the Redhawks to secure a shutout victory.

The Frontier junior squad came out on top from a tough, physical battle Sunday, defeating Palmer 29–7.

Frontier spread the scoring across the roster with scores from Jack Carney, Ryan Washburn, Kyrie Petrizzi-Richmond, Lane Kicza, Matthew Griffin and Johnny Stanisewski. Each score came at key moments, helping the Redhawks pull away as the game wore on.

A boost came with the return of Brody Bailey, whose presence on the line anchored the offense alongside Logan Elias. Their work in the middle gave Frontier a steady push all afternoon.

Defensively, the Redhawks applied pressure from start to finish. Silas Shudla and Lew Graves led the charge, keeping Palmer’s quarterback under duress and closing down running lanes. Bryce Urkiel and Bentlee Candelaria turned in their best performance of the season, coming up with big plays that helped secure the victory.

The senior RedHawks won their second straight, 28-22. Prestyn Petrizzi-Richmond led the scoring with three touchdowns, Connor Sheldon added one himself on the ground. Teague Washburn had some big throws to Riley Rappe and Clark Nugent for the offense.

In the end, it came down to a defensive stop with pressure from Carter Greene and Prestyn Petrizzi-Richmond to force a fumble which was recovered by Gavin Hale.
