Ed Terault posted a plus-6 point quota to capture the league championship at the Knights of Columbus Golf League at Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club in Turners Falls.
Jeremy White was second at plus-4, and Darren Lenois took third at plus-2.
In the 3-club championship (played by non-playoff players), Ken Kitzkovitz took first place at plus-8, followed by Bruce Reipold (plus-7) and Dave Virgilio (plus-6).
Reipold was closest to the pin at No. 9 (4 feet, 9 inches), and skins were won by Bill Devino, Mike Morin, Ed Baker and Rod Herzig. Lenois was the low gross winner on Wednesday with a 35.
Timmons-Messer League
The duo of Jeff Seymour and Doug Beck shot 35 to snag low gross honors at Wednesday’s Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club.
Seymour was the match medalist with a 1-under 35. Neal Slocombe and Brad Stafford took second with a 36, while Dan Campbell and Maggie Haigis were low net winners (23). Bill Noyes and Steve Lanou won a match of cards to take second (25).
Closest to the pin winners were Larry Petrin at No. 6 (7-4) and Bruce Kaeppel at No. 7 (7-11).
Soccer
Elks soccer shoot Oct. 5
First place finishers from the soccer shoot held last month at Franklin County Technical School, sponsored by the Montague Elks, are invited to join the next level of competition. The district championship will be held Oct. 5 at the Auburn Lodge of Elks (754 Southbridge Street in Auburn).
Check in and registration is at 9 a.m. in the backyard of the Auburn lodge. Winners will advance to the state shoot.
