Is walking into a gas station to buy peanuts worth a job? On Saturday, Sept. 6, two friends and I did just that. Unknowing to me, an employee called local authorities on me with the accusation of an odor. Later, an investigation occurred that broke my rights as a citizen. I was harassed by three police cruisers rolling onto my private property. Harrassed I say, because that is the easiest way one can describe taking away another person’s freedom. As I declined the officer’s invitation to arrest me for nothing, I deemed it safe to say that the issue was resolved. Without my knowledge, the Department of Motor Vehicles was contacted and I was deemed a threat and my license suspended indefinitely. Because of this, I have lost my job.
This is not a political issue as freedom extends far beyond America. America is not the definition of freedom. Freedom extends far beyond what the message says on your television or the Constitution. Who is the real judge and jury on freedom? A human being able to roam the land thinking and acting without infringing upon his equals, is my definition of freedom. No matter where you stand, what’s yours? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Am I insane for wanting to dismantle the system for a different result, or the ones blindly supporting?
Charlie Kirk is a martyr of freedom, take the politics out. Charlie Kirk practiced his freedom to preach his views, and he got national attention for it. Those who aren’t on TV or camera still have real freedoms that they desire from real problems that deserve attention. We have forgotten that politics is not the answer, the answer is one united choice for freedom, and the choice for freedom is love.
