The championship match of the Greenfield Tennis Association Doubles League A Division is set, after semifinal matches were contested on Wednesday.

The top-seeded team of Jared Berthiaume Sam Thomson defeated fourth-seeded Sehoon Ahn and Brian Lamore, 6-1, 6-3, to punch a ticket to the final.

In the other semifinal, sixth-seeded Alden Booth and Guy Ardrey got past No. 2 Chris and Gabe Seaver, 6-4, 6-3.

The title match is scheduled for Sept. 22 at the Highland Park Courts.

Golf

Thomas Memorial Women’s League

Karren Sacco fired the low gross in the Thomas Memorial Women’s League playoffs, shooting 89 over 18 holes across two weeks in Turners Falls to win Flight 1.

Jenn Murphy was second (93) while Deb Cote took low net (73) and Sally Malloy was second (81).

In Flight 2, Barb Bilz was the low gross winner (93), just ahead of Shayla Demers (94). Ann Cairl (60) won the net and Terry Adams took second (64).

In Flight 3, Nancy Browning was the gross winner (106), one shot clear of runner-up Delia Foster (107). Low net winner was Pam Linscott (63), followed by Joanne Whiteman (69).

In Flight 4, Karen Hopkins (121) and Deb Demers (121) were gross winners. Sarah Fisher (67) had the low net, and Terry Rae was second (69).

K of C League

Mike McCarthy posted the winning point quota of plus-6 to top the Knights of Columbus Golf League at Thomas Memorial in Turners Falls.

Chris Sacco, Pete McDonough and Darren Lenois tied for second at plus-5. Lenois carded the low gross of 34.

Closest to the pin winners were Fran Togneri at No. 7 (5 feet) and Ron Lenois at No. 9 (40-8). Skins were won by Bob Bourbeau, Tim Norwood, Bill Roussel Sr, Lenois and Bob Wondoloski.

Timmons-Messer League

Curt White and Matt Deane were the low gross winners at Wednesday’s Timmons-Messer League in Northfield, posting a score of 36. Bill Bourbeau and Dennis Fournier won a match of cards to take second (37).

Low net winners were Bob Moco and Steven Lanciani (25), which won a match of cards to edge Bob Bateman and Tom Henry (25).

Closest to the pin winners were Don Roy on No. 6 (18-3) and Dave Albert on No. 7 (33 inches). Match medalists were Curt White and Jeff Seymour (37).

CFC Women’s League

Ananda Larson carded a 48 to earn low gross honors as the Crumpin-Fox Club Women’s League played a ‘2 clubs and a putter’ format earlier this month.

Jane Smith shot 49 to take second, while Lisa Sullivan was third (53).

In net scoring, Chris Wysk took first place (36), followed by Camilla Thacher (39) and Maureen Gamelin (41). Chelseigh Bernard was closest to the pin at No. 9 (17-10).
